How did I do?

This is the first skin I have done and wanted to show people.

I am quite proud of it but I am not afriad of constructive criticism. So be honest how did I do on it? Are there things I should change?

It's not too bad, except for that bright blue. I feel as if it's a bit of an eyestrain and would be better off if changed to a very dark blue or a blue-gray.

Also, I see that your banner is a jpeg, which distorted it a bit. It would be a lot cleaner if you redid it and saved as a .jpg.

And it looks like gradients are on, which doesn't match the rest of the forum. It might look a bit better if you turned them off.

What are gradients and how do I turn them off?

Gradient is where one color changes to another. And I see it on the navigation bar beneath the banner.
You can turn them off where you edit the skin.
