Another restless night passed for the villagers, some of whom were beginning to despair of ever finding a Mafia member, others of whom were more determined than ever before.

It was quiet that night... too quiet.

Every villager took security measures as the sense of paranoia that was rampant in the village only grew until the dawn finally broke. They didn't have to look hard to figure out what had happened, though...

In an alley between huts, they found the body of a villager who had been trying to take a shortcut home last night, perhaps trying to avoid the Mafia... but it seemed nobody could avoid them. Aether lay dead on the cobblestones, and a great cry of mourning went up among the villagers as they discovered that he was the latest villager to fall victim to these evil characters.

Once more, tensions ran high and nerves frayed as people furiously discussed who could be responsible for all these deaths in their shrinking village.

Thus begins day three.

I have to agree with the abuse of staff power thing. I considered it for a bit last game, but didn't think that the time online had much to do with the game. I think at the very least, login times should be inadmissible as evidence against someone. And the staff should refrain from using it at all and assume that everyone is invisible.

Furthermore, I think that neither Syko nor Ryan are mafia. That's not to say that they're both not acting suspiciously, though. I think we could focus our energy elsewhere. For instance, the other 17 players. I'd like to call to question anyone who didn't post yesterday or posted very little. They've had a whole day to read the thread, I'd like to know their thoughts.

I'm still keeping an eye on him though to see if there is any change in behavior over the rest of the game.

Æther's two top prospects are Lost and patsfreak. I would like to see some posts for or against them and get a discussion going. Lost was acting suspiciously on day one, he seemed to be trying too hard, and he really seems to be trying to cover something up. patsfreak simply doesn't provide many meaningful posts, much like Alex Zechiel (You could be next on my suspect list btw, you are often just going with the crowd, not often stating much of an opinion yourself).

Of course, the 4 mentioned in the above quote may also have wanted to kill Æther before he got more dirt on them, blizz, jetta, **hp, and zar, but there's not much on these guys so I'm not including them in my list right now.

So here are the people who could potentially want Æther dead: Lost and Patsfreak. blizz, jetta, **hp, and zar are potential afterthoughts.

I agree with the idea of Lost. He seemed very... antsy on day one. He was hardly being accused either.

I'm still wary about Ryan. He's not doing as much of the mind screw he was last game, but he's still on my list.

I'm withdrawing my vote for now. Scanning 23 pages should be fun!

Last night I investigated Ricky. He is the first mafia that I have found. The first 2 nights I discovered 2 villagers. I have been in contact with them, they know who they are. I also have an additional ally who I think is a villager but have not confirmed yet.

Ricky is mafia. Confirmed.

I vote Ricky. I realize now that this is going to come down to if you believe me or not and that is fine. I only beg that you wait 1 more day.

A person claiming to be the doctor contacted me and told me they choose me last night to be saved. This means I cannot be saved tonight. I am revealing myself knowing full well that the mafia will kill me tonight and I can't stop it.

Please, please trust me and vote Ricky today. I will be killed tonight anyway. Ricky IS mafia. It has been confirmed.

I was nurse last game, and I saved someone two nights in a row, Ryan, dear. If they are legit, and choose you again tonight, you are safe.

Just to see if Ryan's being legit, hey wth, let's go with Ricky! But I do remember Ryan asking the detective to investigate him....

Syko was a best guess. It could have happened to anyone. You were also the first person to support me yesterday.

I finally discovered a mafia, Ricky. Trust me for 1 more day. I'm dead tonight anyway. We can't stop the mafia from killing me.

Even if you don't believe that, everyone can kill me first thing tomorrow if I'm lying. I will say now. If Ricky is a villager I will throw myself off a cliff first thing tomorrow morning (and be the death for day 4).

I voted for Ricky the last two days and I am going to vote for him again. I don't know if Ryan is mafia, as he is acting slightly strange, but I am definitely going to go with Ricky. So far nothing has lead me to believe that he isn't mafia. Then again I went through like twelve pages of posts in twenty minutes and may have missed something. However, right now I have no other firm beliefs in who could be mafia although I do have some ideas. Guilty until proven innocent, eh?

Funny, I just gave a speech saying how you shouldn't be our number one suspect, and then you throw this out? You do realize that if you are lying about Ricky you probably shortened your lifespan. If you are the detective and honestly think you are going to die tonight, which other 2 did you investigate then?

..You know what. I believe you. You are either the detective or a mafia member trying to get us to kill one more villager before he dies. And in fact, you are more likely dead if the case is the latter, because the doctor will not choose to save you if that is the case. So I believe you, but please answer my question before you die.

As for votes, I would like to request we refrain from allowing a majority to be reached until I at least get a response please (That would be 9, right?).
