no. personally, i think it's way too big and it's going to compete with the banner. that said, it really depends on what your design is supposed to look like.

It's interesting. What kind of site are you building? What are the colors, themes, subjects, etc.? Those would all be important in forming an opinion of the graphic.

I'm not really sure that I like the text as just one solid color. Maybe a gradient with a shadow or inside-lighting would be better. A slight shadow where it overlaps the image would make it look more 3D.

Same with the image. It's very flat looking. I like its creativity, but since I don't know the type of site, I'm not sure what type of look you're trying to achieve. Maybe it fits your site perfectly, I don't know. I haven't seen anything like that before, so bonus points for originality. Maybe if you made the body of the image more spherical, that could add some depth to the image.

is that the intended skin for the image to be used on? if so, i don't think it really matches. it is creative, but it's pretty big,and i think it takes away from the overall design of the site.

try something more subdued, i think. i see a lot of RP sites with side table images that are about the same size, and i think it takes away from the banners. :]

hard to tell just stand-alone, but i'd probably make it a bit smaller still.

I don't think its a bad size at all, just the yellow makes it stand out a bit too much on the design you are using for that forum. I do like the font, however.
