If you have an order of objects, moving any one of them indirectly moves them all. So, indirectly, the ads are being moved.
And yes, we are.
To MY prediction, we will be seeing a lot more beautiful premades in v5. But I may have possibly already mentioned that before I became a slave to debating. I don't use premades, I make my own, but I still like looking at them and giving my opinion. (: Art is art.
Anymore I like seeing odd palettes come together nicely more than anything else. Fancy shmancy codes and cutesy graphics are amazing, but we see them all the time around here. I get really impressed when I see a skin with colors I would've never imagined together rocking a template.
EDIT: And by rocking, I mean rocking. Not clashing like effing what and making me want to put my monitor out of its misery. I reckon we should use PINKS MORE! ;D

How am I going off topic? And since when is this topic about premades?
I believe the topic was concerning proboards templates and their design. Everything I brought up is on-topic as far as template design goes, I was explaining why proboards skinning is a "lost art", which was the original topic. And that's because proboards have not updated their features and expanded customization to keep up with more active forum software. So designers slowly went elsewhere.

We still have plenty of fantastic designers here that don't plan on going elsewhere anytime soon. Your opinion of Proboards does not apply to everyone. I personally love Proboards' customization and making skins for it. A few of the more popular designers around here dedicate themselves to proving that, with the right set of skills and dedication, fabulous skins can be created.

Sorry, but I just don't see it. The only decent designer who's still active on proboards that I'm aware of is Smangii.
Of course my standards may be a bit higher than the consensus. =/

LOL someone thinks their voice speaks for all users. oh dude i think Smangii is an amazing artist i will not disagree with you there not sure why someone thinks this thread is about premades layouts and yea i can understand why a designer would leave this world. it demands design after design after design. the worst part is after you give, people turn around ripp you design replace banners with god awful images off google remove all credit to you and place it elsewhere and call it there own TWAMN!! my opinion again not looking to argue with anyone just saying and it is open to design possibilities a lot more than what people are giving it, it may not be easy to code but if you want easy then......

Just adding my two scents into the situation, I think another part of the problem with PB Templates seemingly looking the same is solely down to the fact that people are 'scared' of change. I've put rp boards up, including one I'm working on now with an abnormal template for rates, and all I'm getting is in effect 'its different I don't like it put it back to normal!'

I'm a learning designer ive been at it for awhile i know what i like and i know how to please people with a design. i remember when i first discovered proboards and graphic design it was about the same time (didnt even own photoshop), i was in amazement at the skins people had, i loved the huge amount of creativity and thoughts going into it. Every post here is correct it did go away and rpg forums came in and every other forum has a side table, a header table, and a forum table. i dont think v5 is gonna resurrect forum skinning it may help it but seriously how is v5 gonna inspire all these board's admins to look at their page and say "i look like everyone else". You know the old saying give a man a fish and he eats for a day but teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. We basically have to start teaching new designers how to imagine and create the art. not just allow them to say "make me banner" "make me banner" oh yes that is no typo i said it twice because i see people requesting the same type of work over and over again within months its ridiculous that we keep giving them without teaching and a life without teaching wouldn't be much of a life. myself i decided to pull away from the normal board look and have been working on it for the past few days took almost all of yesterday to figure out how to get the menu links to work correctly. it takes time, effort and the only ones you can look at for change is yourself. TL;DR (all of it at least). But from what I did read, designers and coders stopped doing stuff for PB as soon as they all knew that v5 would screw everything up majorly. So, the simple fact is that no one wants to design and/or code something big, like a nice, new and unique skin with features, that they will more than likely have to re-code and possibly even re-design to possibly fit in new ways (or at least add new stuff). I've got poo loads of concepts for a whole variety of things for a PB forum that I don't want to have coded til v5 is out.. Which at this rate, looks like it will be when I am an old man (23 atm ). EDIT: Didn't see that this had a 3rd page.. haha. How am I going off topic? And since when is this topic about premades? I believe the topic was concerning proboards templates and their design. Everything I brought up is on-topic as far as template design goes, I was explaining why proboards skinning is a "lost art", which was the original topic. I actually agree with you on everything you have said. EDIT 2: It's censored "C.R.A.P". Replacing it with "poo".. lol

I will be honest i havent looked up anything on the new version 5 i dont care cuz if i did i would be looking at a calendar wishing for time to speed up i would rather it be a surprise like "oh snaps thats new" instead of "finally!" plus the few things i did see are nothing amazing amazing just some crappy skin changes havent been able to see the real changes. anyways im looking forward to atleast having to remake a fourm design or even go as far as trashing one and starting from scratch but if you got a "POO" load of concepts its best to hold on to it i guess. SO is it true that it will destroy the designs due to code problems or is it just a rumor?
Is there a thread just for this sorta stuff such as rumors, facts, videos, and photos of version 5?

I still see a few promising artists on this board, and Smangii seems to pop in every so often to share some random amazing work, but the majority of templates now seem to be those generic side-tables, wide banner, split categories, etc.. It seems like skinning ProBoards has become something akin to designing a MySpace template... Mal- Just so you and most designers know, I am SUCH a newbie at Probo'ing that, if you prick me, I bleed green. I have NEVER coded anything a day in my life except back in the 80s when these things called "personal computers" began to appear. And those were mini-codes to design simple PC games I could play on my own.
Three months ago, a TV show began its first run and I went onto the network's official site to blog/post about it. One very dedicated fan posted a link to a Probo fansite and I've been hooked on Probo since. I never knew such a place existed or had so many awesome and different designs for just about everything!
Combining the two previous thoughts, I started a Probo forum for another of my fave shows returning this summer. I have used a lot of the excellent formatting skills (codes) most of you have submitted for designing what you term as a "generic" template of a board. Another poster has stated that some out there have no design programs on their PC but what it comes with -- mine, sadly, is just Paint. I have not tinkered with anything in there except for photos.
I'm not a programmer, nor have ever attended any courses to learn, but I'm a quick learner (with mad typesetting skillz) and have soaked up what you great ones hath wrought. For that, I thank you but please ease up on us newbies have just dipped their feet into this great big sea of coding.
Thanks! You guys rock!
;D
