Day 11 Recap

A good day for the survivors after such a tragic one the day before. Wildmaven was recovering well after a day of rest and medical aide. The sky was clear and the sun was bright. The survivors worked together to kill the two remaining zombies that lingered in the dining room of the restaurant. Most of the windows had been smashed out. Etc worked with the builders to reinforce some of the bigger holes, they moved tables and chairs to obscure any zombies from climbing inside.

When the sun reached its high point in the sky Phaelyn, Kim, Pepper and Derek set out to the east to see what they could find. They didn't have to go far when they found a strong looking brick building. It was an auto repair shop. It had no windows, only a couple doors and one giant metal rolling garage door. A quick peek inside showed there were no cars inside, but it was good to know that if they needed parts they would have a place.

As they were leaving to head back Derek glanced up the street. looking for zombies. He almost dropped his bow, right next door to the autoshop was a super market. He couldn't believe that they had missed in when they were approaching the autoshop. They must have been so focused. The quartet quickly scouted the supermarket, it didn't look to be the most secure building with floor to ceiling glass windows running its entire front but they could see food inside. The previous week specials painted on the windows.

They quickly made their way back to tell the others. They encountered no undead the entire way.

Night 11 Recap

In the middle of the night the zombies came. Nine of them in total. They attacked the restaurant from all sides pounding relentlessly. The chairs and tables stopped most of them. One managed to climb into the dining room. Adam and Nick quickly dispatched of it.

The survivors lasted the night without further incident.

I say we make the move to the auto shop today. The restaurant has nothing more to offer us, and its defenses are low. The auto shop would be the best base of operations for us to further scout the surrounding areas and search nearby, due to its current and potential defense points.

Just trying to think ahead here, perhaps a portion of the group could move to the supermarket instead? Tomorrow they could be looting it (searching nearby) while the other group scouts, heals, reinforces defenses or what have you. This is an opportune time to multi-task, and there's no sense in wasting a day for everyone to move such a short distance later on. After a day or two (depending on how well the supermarket's defenses hold up at night), the supermarket group could rejoin the rest of the group in the auto shop. If we divide the group this way, I imagine the majority of survivors (6 or 7) should head to the supermarket. I believe a 6:5 or 7:4 split should be fairly safe.

How ever we split up the the infected need to pair up with a healer. Unfortunately since one of the healers is infected she needs to stick with another healer. I agree we need to move.

I'm gonna go head and put my actions as going to the autoshop. of course I'll change it if necessary

Adam quietly sidled up next to Phaelyn as she rested in one of the restaurant's chairs. Her oar was laid out across the table in front of her. Adam sat down, his head cocked as he examined her closely.

"How are you feeling, my dear?" Adam asked as he poked at her discolored arm.

"You aren't looking so good." He said, smiling. "Perhaps it would be best if someone escorted you to the next location."

Adam reached out and slid a finger along Phaelyn's oar, Crick. "Are you sure you are feeling up to using this? What if we are attacked and you are too weak to defend yourself?"

Adam stood "Why don't I hold on to it for you while we walk?" His eyes narrowed as he waited for Phaelyn's response.

Phaelyn barely noticed when Adam sat down across from her. The infection was certainly taking its toll; she hoped she'd at least be able to do what Alex did and restrain herself before it fully took its hold. Hopefully it won't come to that.

She flinched when Adam began poking her arm. The wound was still tender and painful.

"Er, I'm fine, I guess? As good as anyone infected can feel, I imagine. And oh, I was under the impression we would all be traveling together? If not, I'd appreciate the help!" She finished with a quick smile, though she doubted it would look too happy, given the circumstances.

She quietly moved Crick back after hearing Adam's proposition, a nervous chuckle escaping her lips.

"Uhm, that's very nice of you to ask, but I'd rather keep it. I might need to lean on it as we go, y'know?" She tried to figure out exactly what the cook was planning, but realised she was probably better off not knowing. Ignorance is bliss.

@Patrick -- you're not going to travel with the rest of us? Or, as many of us as we can get to go? xD
