Idiot! Idiot! I. Dee. Ot! Oh gosh, she'd gotten so close to getting them all killed... she could hear her parent's voices lecturing her on thinking before she did thinks, not just jumping into them blindly... but those lectures were no use when you remembered them after attracting a horde of flesh eating zombies to your location, were they? No, of course not.

And then there was Etc. Oh the poor girl... every few minutes Pepper would glance over at her, and then look away just as quickly. She'd been in Pepper's group for the first day of this nightmare, which somehow made Pepper feel like she should care more about Etc.'s injuries than some other people should, like that creepy cook guy... Adam was his name, right? Anyways, Etc. needed help, and she needed help fast or else... well, what would they do if the infection completely took over one of their allies? Peps really didn't want to find out.

She was partially expecting everyone to maul her soon enough over her actions the day before, and her poor self had no weapon to defend herself with, so she really wanted to scout today. It was the first day at a new location, so there was a good chance of her getting something good, right? Then again... this new place they'd found seemed to have rather poor defence, maybe her day would be better spent reinforcing the defences? Too many decisions! Too little time!

Finally, Pepper decided on her tentative action for the day, figuring that she'd change it if any new developments or ideas came up.

Kim is feeling a little shocked after herself and the group got attacked at the Mall despite being prepared to "head into the unknown". This is it now, no more shocks. Kim is determined to find a weapon to help defend herself and the group so she searches nearby to see what items she can find. I mean, it's a mall, a mall has security guards, security guards have guns right? Kim notices Etc. slowly walking by, she looks for a second and feels useless because she can't help.

*Etc. moans and recoils every time the others move meaning more light would splash on her changing skin. She opens the medkit to see a bottle of antiseptic. It was about half full and smelled bad like all medicine does. She slowly brought it to her mouth and sipped a little out. It's gross which induced coughing. Bringing the bottle back up to her mouth she drank a little more while closing her eyes. She feels someone push the bottle further up to her mouth to drink more of it. Before long the bottle was empty and Etc. weakly tossed the empty bottle at Adam. She curls up against a wall*

Phaelyn hadn't slept well after the group's...eventful night. Too much adrenaline, too few good things to focus on. She tried not to think too much about Etc.'s condition; she could only hope that one of the healers would help her. However, she could not stop herself from pondering how easily it could've happened to her...

As she scrubbed zombie bits off her battle oar -- now affectionately known as Crick, for no apparent reason -- Phaelyn noticed a red stripe coursing the length of it. I wonder if it matched the boat.


Also, guys, I think we should name our group. I don't have any ideas, naturally, but still, why not?

Wildmaven slept heavily on and off through the night, her body demanding replenishment from the stress they had all been under. After looking at Etc. who seemed to make it there on her own, Wildmaven noticed changes in the woman. The yellowing of the eyes seemed oddly reminiscent of the eyes of the zombies they had managed to fight off thus far. Wildmaven made a mental note to keep Etc in her field of view at all times. As Etc tossed a medicine bottle at Adam, the chef couldn't help but note that the man deserved it. She wondered why the healers had not yet helped the poor woman and she gave Crow and Ren a dirty look. Perhaps they were willing her to die, so they would have more rations for themselves...

As Nick wipes the black-flecked ichor that passes for zombie blood from his fists, he watches in horror as Etc. slowly drains a bottle of antiseptic fluid. Between that and her dark companion, it seems that she is bound for an early grave. Hopefully Ren's tender care will at least make her passing easier.

"I suggest we tie her down with the rope we acquired. At the very least we won't have to worry about her gnawing on us in the night, and if she's ok, we can free her in the morning." He looks around the mall then slowly walks over the Etc. and attempts to Bind Her With Rope.

"Upon my return, I'll Defend East with my Fists." With that, he heads off to Search Nearby so that he can be on hand should Etc. Change.

Patrick / Ren / Crow, you forgot to mention the side you'll be defending.

Ryan Roos: You didn't mention who had the rope / batteries so I'm just going to go ahead and try to use them.
Also, what is the 88/100 and 70/100 after the names in your posts?

Day 4 Recap
The survivors were careful to explore the mall. The sifted through rubble. Between the fire and looters there wasn't a lot left. However many found useful things. They spent the day reinforcing their defenses and collecting food.

Etc was looking really bad around the middle of the day. Ren came by and helped her out. Cleaning her wound and making her comfortable. Afterward Etc slept a deep peaceful nap. When she awoke she found she had been tied up with rope.

Nick sat down near the fountain watching her as she squirmed trying to free herself. He had tied the knots well. She wouldn't be getting out without help. He looked up to the second floor (88/100) and then noticed a ladder to the roof (70/100). If they needed to they could fall back.

A few of the survivors noticed that Adam was missing when they awoke. No one saw him the entire day. Pepper spent part of her day sitting in her new car making revving noises and imaginary shifting the gears to her Ford Fusion.
