I can view in IE8, but I don't see a logo in the header on this site: newwebsite.robertcity.com/I just see the text RobertCity.com.

Ah, yeah I've had that problem before. The easiest thing to do in your case would be to just make the image background transparent. Do you have a program such as photoshop or gimp installed on your computer? Yes, in fact I used GIMP to design my layout. Why does IE do that though?

I found this link which says that there could be gamma data which causes IE to render it differently.

It's very stupid.
I hard refreshed (CTRL F5), and the different background in Internet Explorer 8 disappeared.

I don't deal with images much so I'm not sure what the problem is off the top of my head. I did a Google search and found this: "unfortunately, though IE7 supports transparent PNG's, only one filter can be applied to an element at a time", but I have no idea if this applies to you or not. Your best bet you would be to search around or Google, or just put a message on your site saying to not use IE7. ;P

I wasn't sure if you were the type who would say 'You must support IE7!" or not, so I didn't dare say that. But since you stated it, I'm comfortable saying taht I don't really care how my website looks like in IE 7>

Na, I'm not a fan of supporting all of the Internet Explorer browser's (when it comes to non commercial websites, of course). If people want to use old incompetent browser's that's their problem. ;P

Yes, and it turns out that IE6 is still one of the main browsers uses to accept my websites. I don't know if I should make a new thread, so I'll just reply here. Check out my website newwebsite.robertcity.comI'm trying to modify the footer a bit. You see the image at the bottom? I'm wanting to somehow get it so that the content above goes 'into' the white 'area' of the image. But the problem I see is that I can't make it have two backgrounds [one for the main image in the center, and one for the bg 'behind' the image], and if I have an image in the center, the content can't go over it anyway. So how might I succeed in doing said task?
