Hello everyone, I.. should start by saying I am quite unlearned when it comes to coding or computer languages.. but I am curious: What is the difference between the global headers/footers and the main headers/footers? [Someone once told me it's just the order in which they are loaded, but if that were the only difference, why is it that if I place a certain code at the bottom of my main footer, it works, but if I place it at the top of my global footer, it doesn't? (considering they'd load in the same order). *curious* ]

The Global Headers/Footers affect every page of the forum, while the Main Headers/Footers affect only pages that are not boards/threads. So if you're on the index, admin panel, profiles, both apply. If you go into a board or a thread, only the Global Headers/Footers apply and the Main Headers/Footers do not.
It does affect ordering as well. In addition to the order that they load(which is a preference that you can change in your Headers/Footers area), the order of codes within them is also important. Codes can conflict with each other if they're not in the right order, so depending on the effect you're trying to achieve, some codes need to be above or below others.

Headers and footers have nothing to do with languages. They are just names given by ProBoards to commonly-edited areas of the HTML.
As stated, the global headers and footers appear on every page. The main headers and footers only appear on the index (and I think a few other pages as well).
