Also with the Rape thing. It was the right thing to do. Woman were to be protected from work. This got taken a bit out of hand sometimes. It made it so that woman could not support themselves. The man was also forced to support the girl. This meant that the girl got the best thing that could possibly be done for her in society. She was taken care of for life. There really isn't anything better that could have been done at that time.

Yeaaaah, selling women as slaves, just taking who ever you wanted, raping them, and making them your wife for raping them is the right thing to do. Of course, it not the rapist fault. It the girl fault for being a girl. Who cares what she want to do. They have no souls.

Explain how the man was not punished? What would be a better option?

Many times rape did result in death. Most of the time the brothers or father of a girl would not hesitate to kill a rapist.

Maybe that should have been the punishment but what about the girl? who would support her if her father died and she had no other family?

Also remember that all the laws were not totally supported by God. They were written by Moses and laws like the one allowing divorce got put in there because Moses thought the people needed it.

No it isn't...we can use the bible for almost everything. I am Catholic so i don't think that you use the bible alone as your guide. I believe that God put the church in charge and they can help us with rules that the bible couldn't have even thought of because it is to old. That doesn't mean that the old rules are gone it's just others have been added.

I don't want to get into a discussion about the gay thing. My only point i will give is that there is no gene or any DNA associated with sexual preference. Therefor i don't see how you are born that way. Everything you are born with can be seen through science. You cannot see this anywhere...

There are DNA that makes you male or female. If you are male you have things scientifically that females don't have.

Sperm cells can make DNA yes, but how can you prove that one is a female/male if a newborn is brought into the world

Because you have things the other sex doesn't have...i believe there are also things in your personal DNA that make you male or female...it isn't just something you decide it is scientific.

Because you have things the other sex doesn't have...i believe there are also things in your personal DNA that make you male or female...it isn't just something you decide it is scientific.

So you prefer that the bible decides on what gender a child should be then?
