Microsoft Small BasicIs this a good program to learn the basics of programming or are there better techniques out there? I already know the basics but I would like to know so other people can learn with ease.

If your machine runs on Windows, you can download Visual Basic Express, google "VB.NET tutorials" and start with Visual Basic.NET
It will take you on the high road to becoming a programmer in my opinion.

I forgot I even created this thread. I do think Visual Basic is a great way to learn basics before moving onto more complicated coding structures like the ones found in C++. I would know because I found my calling accidentally in high school learning Visual Basic 6. I picked it up very quickly. Is Microsoft Small Basic just as good?

I just looked over the Small Basic FAQ on MSDN. If you have already had a class in VB 6 (or just learned it on your own), then Small Basic is probably a waste of time. Download Visual Studio Express and try the tutorials is probably your best bet. The msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/beginner/default.aspx site seemed to be pretty good when I reviewed it a few years ago, but it might be too beginner oriented now.

It will take you on the high road to becoming a programmer in my opinion. If by high road you mean "completely disconnected from any reputable development technology" then I completely agree.
