What colors would compliment this banner?

(sorry if this is stretching the board! I'm pretty sure it's not.)
I made this banner for a layout I'm working on for a warrior's roleplay forum, but I'm having problems with getting the layout colors just right.
What would you recommend?
I need a color for the border behind the forum, along with the site in general.

I'd love to hear your suggestions!

the banner's a bit pale for my taste, which makes it a bit difficult for choosing colors. I just played around with different colors to get THIS

If i were you, i would just use a site like colorschemedesigner.com/ to help get an idea of what colors go with what - i know it always helps me

Yeah, I agree. I'm working on changing that, because you're right, it's pretty hard to get the colors right for this banner!
