On/Off Icons; Need Suggestions

They look absolutely AWFUL. (Don't try to make me feel better, I know they do.) If anyone has some suggestions on what I could possibly do to make them look less blech I would be endlessly grateful. I was trying to make the first one (the on icon) to look like it's lit up and the off icon to look... well... turned off and with a crack in it. I use PSP (but I also have CS5 installed). Thanks in advance. ;D

They're honestly not that bad. However, I haven't seen your skin so I don't know how well they look on the forum itself. To make the on icon look more 'on', I'd change the color to something like a pale yellow. On the other hand, like I said before, I haven't seen your skin so I don't know how they look. Individually, they're not so bad. If you're skin is technological, then I'm sure these look great!

Here's the skin. I changed it to the default the other day for code assistance and haven't swapped it back yet. The green was to go with the site. I've been changing a lot of stuff around. Now I don't have any green at all so I might just use the light teal. I don't know. I'm so lost. I'll be lucky if I don't scrap the whole thing and start from scratch.

Ooo very nice! To be honest, the on/off buttons looks like they would go really well with your skin! I'd say keep them if that's the skin you're going to be using (:
