GT Mafia, Game 6 (Game over!)

Kay Here's where I stand: The fact that Alex boldly declared that he knew I was a villager makes me inclined to believe that it is, in fact, the detective...but something about the conversations I had with the other admins, just feels not quite right. Both Patrick and Ryan are very good at this game, and I said this yesterday, but even after talking with all of them I still have no idea who to trust.

I had originally said that I was going to vote for Dalita in the Skype convo because I had noticed that she had been logging into Support, but never posting in mafia. That just seemed sketchy to me. But after thinking over and seeing what everyone had to say here, Patrick and Chani do have a point. If we kill Dalita and she turns out to not be mafia, then that leaves us with no further clues. If we kill Alex, either he's mafia, or he really is the detective and we have 3 more proven non-mafia (Pat, Ryan, and myself)

So, with that being said, I vote Alex

Really Ren? So according to you Alex is the detective. You believe that. But you're going to vote for him anyway because Pat (who you suspect is a shifty player, along with me) told you to? In your scenario killing Alex will do nothing but kill the detective.

This is ridiculous. Seriously. Everyone in future games do not trust Patrick even if you know he's a villager, this is what he'll do to your alliance (and special roles).

I was going to say Dalita. not base on what being said much as that just confusing but in past games the quiet ones have been mafia and if alex is detective why would we want to kill him of

Okay, just to clarify, I meant that I originally believed that Alex was the detective. But after the skype convo, I wasn't so sure. Alex said that he sent Syko his next 2 investigations, so I asked how he was going to find out the results of the investigation if he was unable to get online. After all, what would be the point of sending in the names is you weren't even going to be able to find out the results until after you got back? The game could be over by then.

Then, Alex didn't answer my question (as you can see in the Skype convo). Once that happened, I because suspicious.

Hey all, almost 9am here, I am headed out for the weekend soon.

I just want to say real quick:

Do not let Ryan's emotional tricks here get to you. Look at the facts of the situation. If Ryan was a villager he would be voting with us.

Ryan will try to play on everyones emotions from here on out. Look at his posts. They are all aimed at making you feel bad for your votes. They are guilt tripping you. He's losing the game and he knows it, because he's mafia. I am 99% sure at this point he is mafia, and killing Alex will expose this fact.

In conclusion, DO NOT LET RYAN'S POSTS MANIPULATE YOUR EMOTIONS. He will do his best to guilt you, make you feel bad, etc etc, all in the name of switching your vote to his (when his vote is based on NO logic and our votes ARE based on logic).

To win this game, make sure you vote with LOGIC. Always.

I'm headed out right now for my weekend cruise, so I wish you all the best. I may post again before the boat leaves if something crazy happens in this thread.

Let's please finish this vote by voting Alex - we just need one more.

Because if we vote for Alex one of two things happens:

1) If he is the detective, then Ryan, Ren, and I are all 100% confirmed villagers. This means we have know who to trust and have a better chance to win.

2) If he is NOT the detective he is mafia. And then we know Ryan is mafia too.

(We are not killing Ryan first because IF he is the doctor then he is better to have around to save lives)

ANY other vote that we do is a 100% stab in the dark vote based on 0 evidence. ANY other vote will not give us information about who is or is not mafia. That is why we have to vote for Alex.

Sorry about the lurking. I'm not used to dealing with this amount of intricate analytical interpretations, as from the essays of the above and before.

I think I'll take the easy way trust Patty this round and vote for Alex. If voting for him is the incorrect approach and Alex is the detective/villager, we're doomed to fail unless the doctor successfully saves a villager. (Doctor... Doctor who? Just the Doctor.)

This turned out to be a fun round. Two people manipulating. Two with definite opposite goals in the manipulation. It's scary to be a villager now. Can't blame me being quiet.

Edit: Rawr, Ryan posted. I react by saying, Grrr. Now I can't tell if you're bluffing for us to rush our votes to Pat.
