Forum URL: www.geneseeautism.proboards.comWe are changing to Proboards from Yahoo Groups. My members are used to the email notifications. However with Proboards, there seems to be no email notifications. Is there an option I am overlooking? I need members to receive an email of new topics or replies to their threads. Thank you Amy

Hi On ProBoards you have the [image] feature. You can add a topic to your bookmarks by clicking on the button within the topic, or by selecting the tick box on the reply page. You can view your list of bookmarked topics via the View Bookmarks option on your profile page [Profile >> view bookmarks]. By default, you will not receive notification of replies to your bookmarks, however, you can change this. You can opt to receive notification of replies by PM, email, or have no notification at all. This option can be changed via the manage bookmarks link which is on the bookmarks page. You can also delete your bookmarks from this page. Hope that helps

It will not send an email if the email account hasn't been activated [should indicate this in the profile], and also if will only send if there is a new post since you last accessed the post, it will not send more than one per topic, and it will not send if you are the person who made the post.

What if giving you that impression? IE, what have you done to expect an email, and it hasn't arrived yet.

Hi,
Just to clarify a bit too, the email notifications on ProBoards are likely different from that which you are used to from Yahoo Groups. If you have a thread bookmarked and have it set so that you receive an email notification, you will not receive any notifications for replies that you make in that thread. Furthermore, the email that you would get from us will be a general email letting you know that an update has been made in a thread that you bookmarked, and you will be provided with a link to that topic. Because of this, if 2 or more people reply in a thread while you're away from the forum, you would only receive 1 email about it until you've visited the thread again.
