Recap
Several days had passed, and yet the detectives continued to scramble about, searching desperately for a clue, any clue, that could crack the case wide open. With only three days remaining until the 8-day statute of limitations on murder would pass, tensions were high. Despite all the sleuthing going on, however, it seemed unlikely that anyone could have deduced the correct culprit, location, and murder weapon in such a short period of time.

The accusation is met with stunned silence, until someone finally says, "Hey, that sounds plausible. To the security camera room!"
The party runs to the security room and turns on the Conservatory video footage from the night of Mr. Boddy's murder. Sure enough, the footage shows Prof. Prum bludgeoning Mr. Boddy to death with a crowbar, then singing into it like a microphone for a while, and finally attempting to floss his teeth with it.
"Huh, I guess we could have just gone here and watched the footage for all the rooms instead of going through all this detective trouble," remarks some other person.
Col. Mustard and Miss Scarlet celebrate their victory with an impromptu confetti parade while the remaining people haul Prof. Plum off to the nearest police station. Hooray!

Seems fun. Any plans for a follow up? (With more talking!!) There's a chance I'll do another one, but I'd really like to have some way to encourage talking in the thread. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything. I added in the "double accusations only" rule in an attempt to get people to work together more, but that didn't lead to any additional posts in the thread.  While this thread's still open, though, we can use it for suggestions/ideas on how to improve it. ;D |
