What is v5

Any web host as they all ask for account credentials.

I just hope v5 makes up for these loses. It's been put off for a long time now and you guys keep building up the hype.

Yes. We can use the anti-spamatron 2000, if you'd like. But a very simple technique, has been lost.

Email addresses aren't necessarily the main way to track spam. Over half of the time, you don't even bother to care until you come across a spam post on the forum. It's then when you check out the account.

E-mail addresses are the only true identity to an account. It also provides an offsite source of communication.

And many admins do associate e-mail addresses and usernames. If they spot something new, they may expect something malicious, beforehand.

But we've certainly lost one basic feature, as Kyle mentioned. We've also lost the onsite login.

Whats the big deal about an onsite login? Really? Its ultimately the same as clicking the login button on your forum. It takes you to a page. Essentially it's the exact same thing. But on a more secure network.

I am making a big deal? There are others who feel the same as I do. The only thing is that many of them have left.


And yes, it is a major inconvenience. Now, an admin can't contact a member via e-mail. Now, an admin cannot confirm a person's identity via e-mail.

I'm not talking about multiple accounts, am I? I'm talking about identifying a person.
