So, when one makes a new skin, you can set it for default. Guests and new users will all see that new default skin. But all current users have to actually edit their profile to get the new skin displayed for them. So what I was thinking, was maybe an option to set a certain skin for everybody? People can go back and change the skin back to another after, but this way, when a new default skin is made, the admin can automatically switch everyone to it.

I think their should be two options in general. "Force to skin" and "Make default." "Force" makes every member use that skin. "Default" makes guests + new members.
That way if you just want to toggle, you can use "Default."

Sorry but 'Force to skin' will not be added right now. We will add it to our v5.x list. Thank you.
When members arrive at your forum before they login they will see your new theme if you make it the default.
There are many methods you can use to promote new themes if you want users to use them.
Additionally you could disable all other themes which would force members to display the default theme*. Essentially you have control over the members using each individual theme. So you could make only certain users of certain themes go back to default (your new theme).
Either you are an admin that allows multiple themes in which case you are allowing members a choice. Or you are an admin that wants to force users into a theme, in which case you should only have one active (default) theme at a time.
If you allow multiple choices then you allow multiple choices, if you don't then you don't. Sorry, for now, just manage your forum how you want to manage it.
*Be aware the re-enabling a theme will revert people back to that theme and away from your default. This isn't a permanent swap.
Note: Deleting a theme reverts all of it's users to the forum default.

How would I promote a theme for my users to use?
And how would they be able to switch to it?
I've been looking for information on switching themes, and can't seem to find any. I can't even switch my own theme on my forum.
Is this a glitch or unavailable? or is it an operator error.
None of the other members on my forum have been able to change their theme, my forum was just updated, and they are all stuck with the original default theme and unable to change it.
While I can change the default, deactivate or delete the themes... I myself can't switch between them either.

Switching themes, you should just go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings Select in the drop down menu which theme, and then hit save.

Promote a theme by making a thread telling your members about it. Maybe add some screenshots and include instructions on how to change their theme in case they didn't already know how.
