Like I said a lot of the codes won't be necessary. Be it through the new template modification or an already implemented feature. But I'm sure if you ask coders will make them. If they won't have already. Also I don't think coders/helpers groan when people ask for help. They choose to help people who don't know coding as well. They do it because they want to. So you know, if you need help search for the answer first and then ask for help if you can't find what you need.

"... a new single sign-on for all ProBoards forums" - that doesn't sound good. Will existing members of my forum be able to keep their current log on details?

I'm looking forward to the BetaZone, however I do have a question and I apologize if this has been answered. I read in this thread that the Header and Footer coding will be accessible from a backup area once the forums upgrade; is that to say there will no longer be any "Header/Footer"? Or will it still exists, just named under something else? (Quite a few of my forums are heavily coded, and yes I've read at least several times that codes I have no may not be needed anymore, however I'm speaking for the ones that I will still need). Also, when the transition happens, will our forum still appear the same or will it get all messed up until we (the admin of our own forums) fix/mess with the coding and skin?
Also, in response to the "Single Sign-On for all ProBoards forums.." thing, when we go to a forum and sign on, will we be signing on with our email or our username? And when we log into one forum with that email/username, does it automatically log us into any other forum we're registered to with that same email/username? (Now that I think of it, email makes more sense for a global log-in). If this is the case, will we have the option to "opt-out" of being signed into certain forums globally? For example, if I'm signed up to Example.Proboards.com, Example2.Proboards.com and Example3.Proboards.com, but I only want the global log in to log me in to Example & Example2, can I somehow uncheck or Opt Out of it logging me into Example3? Or is the only way to avoid global log in to have a separate email address for each forum you register to?

Headers & Footers still exist in v5. When we convert your forum to v5, we are doing our best to keep your forum colors in tact. We're currently also seeing if we can get certain codes to transfer over from Headers & Footers automatically (this is still being tested). Once you upgrade your forum account, from then on you will login with your email address. When dealing with being signed in / multiple forums, it works similar to how Google does YouTube. You might login to google.com, but you're only logged into youtube.com once you click login. Similarly, if you login to example1.proboards.com, you won't be logged into example2.proboards.com until you click Login on that site too. When you upgrade your forum accounts, you can choose what email address they link to. If you want to have a different email for different accounts, that's your choice (we don't recommend it, since it will make your life easier only having to remember one username and password).

Alright. Thank you for the reply, it's a relief to hear that! :3 And the global log-in makes so much more sense now. Thanks again.

Additionally, a backup copy of all old headers and footers are also stored in v5. In the v5 header/footer section, there is an option to access the old v4 equivalents
