A Few Questions

1. When our forums upgrade to v5, will all members be forced into re-registering a "global account" and be forced to log in with their email address? (As I had to on the v5 Support Board)

2. Does every member maintain primary rights to their current registration name if they in fact do have to "re-register"?

3. Is it a global login, in the sense that if the administrator allows it, our name is already "pre-registered" on any and every Proboard, and we would immediately have access to posting on said forums?

4. Most codes will not work in v5, correct? My primary code concern on my forum ( www.Christina.CJB.Net ) is my banner code. It it currently set so that the greeting and private message text are within the banner. It also allows me to have a custom banner within each separate board. In V5, it appears the the message notifier is within the home menu. Will it be possible within the forum software itself to change the banner of each board? Or will I have to re-write the code that is currently in my headers?

5. The shoutbox can be disabled, correct?

Edit:

If I try to reply to anything on the v5 board, I receive this message:
" Oops, there was an error! Invalid request token / possible request forgery. If you received this message in error, please go back, refresh, and try again."

Also, when I log in, it redirects to "v5.proboards.comhttp v5.proboards.com" So I remove everything after the .com and refresh.

I'm not sure if either of those issues has already been addressed.

[VS Admin]

1) Yes; the process should be very straightforward and only a couple clicks. This new system will reside on the ProBoards Secure Server, making logins more secure and easier. This system also helps you manage multiple accounts on the same forum (so you can switch accounts with two clicks, no need to logout/login)

2) Every username that is already registered keeps their same username, if that's what you mean.

3) You will not be able to instantly post on any forum, but registration is much faster and just takes a couple clicks since we already have your email address verified. You can test this by going to v5.proboards.com and clicking register, and type in your existing global account email/pass (you won't get the prompt for email/pass if you are already logged in globally)

4) I'm sure that a coder can release a plugin that will help you accomplish what you want. Plugins are much easier to use for forum admins compared to H&F codes. You can watch a plugin preview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYElzRo0jDQ
