The idea is that you just switch to the Visual mode which then acts as a preview. If you wanted, I'm sure template modification/some other sort of code could change the visual tab to say "Visual/Preview" or something.

Shrike is correct. The Visual editor displays your post how it will appear. This removes the need for the preview button. You can edit in BBCode mode and switch to Visual for a proveiw if you wish. Or just post in Visual mode. You can even set your preference for Visual or BBCode mode in your Edit Profile.
