Show/Hide Email Address

Currently when you view the memberlist on a forum, if people have their email address visible, you will see it in the list and in their profile.

Now on the test board, it's not in the member list, and I dont see where you can show/hide it in your profile.

Has something changed?


Also, if I have 2 different accounts on the RPG, will they be treated as individual accounts even if they are under one email address? I dont want them having any relationship to each other at all.

For privacy reasons, email addresses will not be shown to others in v5.

Your two RPG accounts will be separate, with their own profile, post history, avatar, etc. The global login will just make it easier to switch between accounts with a couple clicks. Nobody will see your email address except you, so its possible other players won't even know both carries are being played by you.

At the same time, the forum admin can look for duplicate emails and IP addresses without actually seeing them. If they want to ban someone by email address or IP address, they still can.

One more Q, if I had a few accounts on the one rpg board, is there a limit to how many accounts I can have per email address?

I'm sure the admin would be able to ban my email address if I was a spammer and made 50 accounts lol, but I mean does proboards limit per email address on its own?

There is no limit to forum accounts or forums that you can have linked to your Global account.
