Jordan, I've been using the plugin without any issues and first want to say thank you! Next thing I would like to ask if for some added functionality or help making it so I can get what I am trying to do. I have my categories to always show collapsed, and since I use images for the categories, I can't use a background color or an image to indicate a new post. So what I have done temporarily is to add padding to the top using the 'collapsed' css and then use a background color showing Red to indicate a new post is there. The only problem with this is that all the categories get the padding and makes the categories images look a bit odd with that unneeded padding. So, here are a few requests or ideas that I would like to see. If you can't do them all or do any, no worries... I understand you've got plenty of other things your doing. 1) Have a 'collapsed' and a 'collapsed-new' class for css. This way I can assign padding to only the categories with new posts. 2) Allow an image to float over the current categories background image without changing it. Not sure if this is even possible, but if it could be done, then I could have a floating image instead of having to pad the categories for a background color. 3) Allow text to be in the padding area for the 'collapsed-new' class. Again, not sure if this is possible since I tried to emulate that and couldn't figure out how. Thanks again and look forward to seeing if you can add these.

Eton made me a code that hovers an image (for me I made a "New" text image) over my images in my collapsible categories when they have something new. You might want to try something that route. I can link you to mine if you want

Thanks... I added the code and made adjustments to show the image. However instead of hovering over my category image, it shows up below.
When I get more time I'm going to play with it a bit more.
Unless it can be added to this plugin by the author. Which would be preferred and greatly appreciated.
I try to keep things out of my globals in lieu of plugins.

Hi jordan. I have this plugin installed but it collapses all the boards instead of just the three I have chosen. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

I think it would be interesting a flag allowing admin to optionally disable the memory on the browser so he can take full control on when categories are collapsed or not
Enable Memory yes/no
or something like that

I think this is similar to what ponzinomics said.
I'd like to be able to turn off the memory. I want my default collapsed categories to be collapsed when you load the page, whether or not you had them expanded previously. Is there a way to do this, or is it possible to add one?

You're way ahead of me. Instead of adding functionality, I'd be satisfied to get the basic thing working. After downloading it twice, mousing over or clicking on the bar gives no result. When I set a category to collapse by default, again nothing happens.
Be warned, I couldn't code with a Captain Midnight ring. I appreciate any suggestions, we could REALLY use this.

Dear absorption,
I'm assuming that you're not offering help for my problem, but introducing one of your own. Am I correct?

All right. Who is the genie, the magician, the psychic expert? I certainly didn't expect my problem to fix itself, and I'm not sure I believe it, but fixed it is.
Before whose feet may I prostrate myself in admiration and thanks? This brings customer service to a new high.
Peace and Love, Charles

And now, it's back off. I've moved it to the top of the plugin list from it's lowly place on the bottom. I've deleted it and reloaded. Changed the theme. Rebooted the computer. Still, there is no joy in Mudville. I don't have that much hair left, that I can afford to tear anymore out.
