Yootil 1.1.2 [Updated: 8th Dec, 2018]

Nope, that's the ProBoards Bar. Mine used to be default to the left, however, I rewrote it so it didn't rely on the ProBoards Bar needing to exist (it cloned it then modified it) and gave options to set the position of it. I think for people who update a previous version, it breaks, so you need to go in to the settings and set the position then save.

Something I will look into and will fix.

It depends on what plugins you have. For example, the Monetary System adds to the Yootil Bar, and if that isn't showing up, then certain features of the plugin will not be accessible.

o ok, well i dont have the monetary system, but i was told one of my plugins needed it, im not sure which one sorry.

Peter, I'm guessing it's impossible to tell how much of this will need to be re-written for v6? I was thinking about starting some big projects, but with v6 on the horizon I'm hesitant to do so because 1) I'd be relying on this a lot and 2) I'd likely need to re-write it when v6 came out.

Am in the same boat, I will be relying on it heavily.  I will do my best to keep the API calls as close as what they are today, but can't be 100% on that.  The problem is that v6 will need a new Yootil plugin if v5 is still going to be hanging around for 18 months, due to the DOM structure likely changing (i.e for the element class).

Once I know more, I'll keep you in the loop with that will happen.

How bloated do you think it would be to support both from one set of JS?  i.e. liter it with if/else.  Because it sounded like not everything will change in the v5 -> v6 migration... so maybe it won't be a big enough addition to NOT do it.  Eases the pain on everyone.

The "Element" class will definitely need to be rewrote for v6 or wrote to support both. I can't think off the top of my head what else there is.  My problem is bloating the code like you mentioned, and with not knowing what is actually changing, am kinda at a standstill (be nice to get some info now so I can pick away at things slowly).

I was planing to rewrite it anyway, would like to write it using ES6 syntax, and if we get earlier access to work on plugins before public release, then that would help a lot.

Edit:  May not need to do anything.  Release v6 update, then for those still on v5, then just don't update.

You are looking at 2 different plugins.

First image is Yootil (thread you are currently in). The other plugin is the social side bar plugin (can't remember exact name).

So there is no way to make the icons bigger? in Yootil?

You could use some CSS, but it wouldn't look good due to the size of the images (16x16).

For v6, I will be changing all that, unfortunately for now it will remain as it is.

Peter sorry to bother you but i seem to be having an issue and as far as i can tell it is related to this plugin's newest version. on our forum we have not updated yet, but on another forum i am on, they updated to 1.1.1 and now most times that i click to open a link in a new tab, the link pops up but then quickly closes rather than loading. it only happens on that forum and only since they updated to 1.1.1. i use google chrome but it doesn't happen on incognito mode or on other browsers so thought it might be one of my extensions or something? couldn't imagine which one though.
