Monetary System 0.9.6 [Updated: 1st Dec, 2015]

Something odd is going on with at least one of our accounts on our site, here. The account has $66, although it should only have $13 (Neither the main admin or I have made any changes to the money, and we're the only two with the power to do so). Also, I made a post in a board that I know technically has earning enabled, with that account, and it still has the same amount as it had before I posted.

We currently have version 5.2, we updated just a few days ago, and the settings are $2 for every started thread, and $1 for every reply (With quick replies being the same, and enabled).

The attachments are the account profile before and after I made that test post, showing that the amount didn't go up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We've been going through a few more accounts, and found another that didn't add up. (And there might be a few more, but we're working slowly to make sure we don't miss anything that might trigger it). This account has $7, but should only have $5. We think this is because of one thread that she started on a disabled category yesterday, but it makes no sense either, because a post on that same category about 15 minutes earlier didn't earn money. (And this category's been disabled for four days or so, with no changes to the plugin or any codes since the 10th).

Another account that seems to only have a permission error, but as with the one before, another thread on the same board (Without any code changes between the time this one posted and when the other account posted) didn't make any money off with it.

So, from the post beneath mine, it seems that bug isn't completely worked out yet, about disabled boards, so that's probably what the above two cases are. However, the first one still makes no sense... She hasn't even -made- enough posts yet to be that high up!

Hmmm... That's weird. I can't edit my own money while I can edit the money earned by my members.

Also, even with the restrictions, everyone can still earn money from boards where earning money is disabled.

I added in this plugin after making a few posts, and I went to try to edit it so that I had the money equivalent to what I would have if I added the plugin before making my posts but I can't edit my money. Why is this?

You must enable editing money, and if you already have it click the money value on the main profile

according to peter it will not be available to have admins edit their own money until .6 release source

I didn't know that the pb library review system did not accept hard carriage returns so my feedback/review was jumbled into one block so I apologize that it makes that page look funky. If you have the power to delete it please do and I'll re-post something simple. But the below is how it was supposed to look.

The Plugin is quite awesome and has lots of cool features built-in. It'd be cool to enhance this tool by any of the following (sorry if they've been mentioned as all this just poured into my mind):

+Instead of all or no staff, allow a choice of who can/can't edit money via a person or group option in settings.
+Allow blocking of groups or rank rather than by a single user (takes time with tons of ppl) OR a deny all and allow some alternative.
+Allowing members 3 possible mediums of monetary trxns: transfer a "gift" (1), a loan (2), or borrow (3) money to/from other members.

--(1) something like a "gift" (or free money, no strings attached [fees, interest, etc.]).

--(2) setting to charge interest (or not to) and a soft or hard date to pay back before penalties occur (see sub-below).
----(2) setting to have a penalty if not paid back in X time/days or if X minimum amount (see penalties section).

--(3) if you need money and the user is applicable (not in a penalty status or has enabled borrowing/loaning/etc.) you can request a $ amount [that they have in a public bank] and depending on their public bank options they may or may not charge fees/penalties (see penalties section).

Penalties could be such like below:
a) disallow the requester from interacting (money-wise) with the giver until requester pays back or transfers "gift" money (either way pays the full debt or a set settlement by the giver).
and/or
b) put a money-related warning in the bank that "x user thwarted y user for $x amount" (something like that).
and/or
c) an enhancement to suggestion b is to have an elevated penalty setting that if a user doesn't "manage their money" (loans/borrowing) properly to more than X number of members they go on a money-related ban (adjusted in $ settings by staff with delegated power) and can only use their current/own amount of $ they have in their private/public bank (excluding loaned/borrowed $ [this would be in red negative as due back]) but are required to pay every penny of loaned/borrowed $ back. The user would also be disabled from collecting add'l revenue via standard posts/polls, etc. Only once the user has paid back all dues/fees/interest AND met the penalty date-based time period would they be able to resume standard activity.
d) users can add anyone they want to a ban list of loaning/borrowing. (a msg such like "This user is not currently accepting/loaning money" so not to seem direct).


Make a public bank interface visually similar to the private user bank interface where some of the above details/features can be expressed.
++John Doe has $x.00 [obviously, cannot see one's deposited money from their private bank interface]
/gift\ Feeling generous? Give user $X? [$_amt_] (no strings attached interest-/fee-wise)
/loan\ Does this user need some money? Loan [$_amt_] [x]intest/[x]no interest [the user would be able to accept/reject] [or see option d above]
++++If the user puts a message in their bank that they need money (when not in penalty) this option comes available and a $ figure will appear with how much they're asking for.

/borrow\ Need some money? [$_amt_] (this user currently charges $X interest rate -- or no interest if none)
++++If user is not on penalty of sorts this option is available.


This is a LOT of info crammed into this post as clear as I could make it here but I'd love to discuss it in clarity if any of this is ever considered.

edited: also an option/setting to batch-add/remove $ for several users or groups such as if the "bank" (forum) decides to give away free money for whatever reason they desire, and the inverse if several members/groups are bad or whatnot.

Plugins are not available to work on mobile this is something pb staff has said before

I was hoping you were online, because I am using the monetary feature, and I have a serious issue
and need help asap.

This member has previously been given 100 credits on 2 different days. I sent her 100 credits today. Here is a screenshot of what her balance looked like when I sent her 100 credits.



Once she notified me about this issue, I then give her 200 credits, to total 300. Here is the screenshot after that. (pic1)



Notice, that the credits did not increase. It deleted the prior 100. I then give her 300, and here is the end result. (pic2)



Notice the transaction history at the bottom. All prior transactions (deposits) are eliminated. (pic 3)



Basically, it seems to be deleting their entire balance, including banked credits, when we give them credits.

Hi Shazaam, you have to edit the total, instead of giving 200 credits you'd have to add them to the total and type that amount in the 'edit bank balance' field.

Yootil library needs to be above the Monetary Plugin.
