xLcYahoo, but I have no idea how often they update the data they supply, all I know is that it's not real time, as you have to pay for that.

xLcFor now, I want to focus on something else. I want to add in monthly wages and bonuses, and a few bug fixes / layout tweaks, and then it will be onto something else (i.e donation, shop).

So, as I see, this system is all about people who pretend like they are making money. The "money" is actually a system of "points" or "credits" for which the administrator sets the ways and rules to spend those points or credits within the forum. Right?
But, no member makes real dollars or euros from this system.
Even though one would wonder why would you create a system to tell people that they can earn real money while they can't, this system still remains a good one to show the "authority" of a member on the forum based on those points or credits.

I know, but it talks about stock and money. The first thing that comes to mind is dollars. Isn't that right?

I know, but it talks about stock and money. The first thing that comes to mind is dollars. Isn't that right? For me, no. I would think it would be too good to be true for a free plugin on a free forum provider, and question myself (i.e where does the money come from that members earn?). I would then try it for myself to see if I can really earn money (i.e adding my bank / PayPal to receive payment). Obviously from my point of view, it's easy for me to see that, as I created it. Either way, I have modified the first post to include the word "virtual" to prevent people getting excited.

It is too good to be true. You never know what you find on Internet. Open Source Software is also too good, but it is very true. Anyway, it's a strategy to get a plugin popular. If people wouldn't get excited about something, they wouldn't pay attention to something. With a little judgement they find out it's not the real thing.
But, anyway, wouldn't be bad to give the chance to forum members to make real money on forums. Google is giving the chance to its users through YouTube videos. But, I haven't heard of any software that would give the chance to forum members to make real money while posting. That would be a revolution in forum technology.

Just wanted to let you know I have a 'rudimentary' fix in for my problems that seems to be working so far - just testing it now though by using a bit of javascript to 'hide' the board listings and tabs if the url matches the stockmarket or bank. It's not perfect and its certainly clunky but I figured better than nothing right?

xD it wasn't working until I put in a bit of 'if and elsing' seperately and enclosed everything to do with the tabbed categories with "tabsmain" and "tabsmain2" so I could target those. Maybe that's what's doing it? If it's looking for 'one' thing but getting something else
