For now there isn't.  The whole wage system needs to be split out into its own plugin so I can go more in depth with it, but that won't happen until v6 is here.

Hi,

There are quite a few reasons for why I removed it from the Plugin Library.

Most important one is that the plugin was no longer getting updated, and the current state of the code was something I haven't been happy with for a very long time. I looked at the state of the code today, as there were a few bugs that really needed fixing, but I couldn't bring myself to do it, as it's not a 5 minute job.

It has been on my deletion radar many times, and today I decided to do it. I felt that if I can't support the plugin to the best of my ability, then it shouldn't be available in the library. There are features in the plugin that I'm not happy with, and one feature that needed to be removed completely because it no longer works due to relying on external data (Stock Market).

The code base for the Monetary System and Shop is not fun to deal with. In total there are around 12,000 lines of code, and it's not that easy finding your way around when you aren't in that code base often. It was like reading someone elses code. I don't have the motivation to improve on it either, and it's a little late because of how big it had become. My build tools done most of the joining of files, compressing, and some other magic things that won't really interest you. I wrote new build tools last year, and they don't play nice with the old setup of the Monetary plugins. Even if they did, I don't think I would touch the code.

But don't worry. It will come back for v6. It will be started from scratch, so it will be a completely different monster

Thank you! I am not familiar with Github, so perhaps I didn't look close enough, but does he have the monetary shop available as well?

When this is recreated for version 6, will there be any way of importing current shop and profile data from what is currently running our forums?

For example, each member has X items from the shop in their profiles. I hosted 100+ images, categorized them, ordered them specifically in the shop etc. (Not to say that this was anywhere near as lengthy as you coding 12,000 lines). Will all of this have to be redone and will every member have to repurchase every item?

v2 is going to be different for both plugins. I could ease your mind and say it will all be imported with no issues, but I really don't know until I have a clear idea of what I am doing with both of those plugins

I know this plug in is deleted and no longer supported, and I'm really sorry for needing to ask, but I don't need help with the plug in itself, but more how to apply it to a custom profile? I asked someone far more familiar with coding than I am to have a look at the profile codes and they had no success, and to try asking someone here anyway.

Here's the problem - I can't get money to display in my profile. I'm using, what appears, to be the correct <span class="monetary_amount"></span>, but it's not appearing in the code. I'll copy/paste the CSS and the HTML below. We also have a guest coder account I can PM information for, if you need a closer look. (Forum is dreamsoftomorrow.boards.net/ ) tali Is also keeping an eye on his thread and has my permission to help and/or pass out the coder information.

Where it says pebbles in the image below is where the money value is supposed to be appearing. I'd ideally like it to match posts amounts but if it doesn't, it doesn't.

Most common reason for this, is because important class names have been removed.

Make sure that exists (old code, so unfortunately the 2 classes have to be on a div), otherwise the plugin will not locate the custom span.

Thanks so much for your quick response! And I'm going to hate saying this, because it makes me feel like I sound like a newb or ignorant .... I have a fair understanding of HTML and CSS, but Javascript completely stops me in my tracks. Where should I even go looking for this code to see if these classes are in place? The Style sheet, Layout Templates, or somewhere else entirely?

I see the link you linked, and I think I understand what codes to look for, just not where to look. Super sorry to trouble you on a non-supported form, seriously, and then be at such a loss.
