It has happened to me, I'm user 73, 88, 89. I use firefox on a mac, or chrome on my home pc

I think user 123 uses firefox, and not sure about the other two.

Everything seems to be fine for me. If you can reset your bling and then do a few test, see if it happens to you.

My bling is now 7, though should be 6.

Reason for this, is because of the quick reply.

If a member tries to post within 10 seconds of last post while using quick reply, they still get rewarded 1 bling as there is no way to check if it was successful or not. This is why I allow earning from quick reply to be turned off so members can abuse it, however I may have a small fix for this.

Yea we have 1 for new topics because 0 didn't work it was giving 26 bling instead of 0! (so now it counts the starting of a topic as both a new topic AND a reply so you get 2)

To me now it shows you have 14 posts and 16 bling? Is that because of: starting a thread (+1) and then using the quick reply quickly? (another +1)?

Sorry just trying to understand.

By reset my bling do you mean just change my account to 0?

The 0 amount for starting a new thread was fixed in the last update.  What version are you running?

I have 16 bling because of the quick reply issue I done twice.  I may have a way around it to prevent 2 from being added, however it can still be abused by people if they really want too.

Yes, reset yours to 0, and post until you notice the issue.  Let me know exactly what you done (i.e, posting a new topic, quoted a post, used quick reply, edited a post, a poll...).

I've just changed it to 0 for new topics. I probably just hadn't realised it was fixed ^^

I'm testing it now with a fresh user on my dev forum, 0 for topics is fine.

Am unable to replicate this issue you reported though, it's incrementing correctly. Testing it in firefox and chrome, working as expected.

So you set it to 1 for new topics, and reset your bling to 0.  You then posted and it gave you 5 bling?

Doesn't seem to happen if it's not the first thread you create.

(it's 3/7 not 2/6 because I made one in a different location and delete it and did it again in the same location to make sure it wasn't that)

Can you set my bling to 0, and set new topics to earn 1.

Still fine for me.

What browser are you using right now, and version?  (help > about)

Console will be for like inspecting elements, writing JS into the console, etc.  Firefox has Firebug, Chrome has a default one already (tools > javascript console).

Do you want me to reset your post count to 0? (from my test that's my guess at what's doing it)

Firefox 17.0.2.

right click inspect element is probably the closest I've got to that...
