Updated to 0.6.3 for bug fixes and re-implementation of one V5 feature. - Added option to enable/disable "Welcome Username. Logout" in favor or opposition of actual login buttons - Fixed menu buttons disappearing completely if no URL was specified - Added regular expression check for menu items to avoid partial matches (like "Home" matching "WelcomeHome")

Just installed this and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working, then I realized it was because I had already taken out the "Welcome username. Logout" in the Forum Wrapper. I had to restore the wrapper to the original one to get it to work. Just wanted to give others a heads up that if this plugin isn't working, it could be because you removed something that the plugin needs to work. Brian, thanks for this plugin, I was hoping to find something like this. *Edit* I have a suggestion that you might or might not be interested in for this plugin. I am a template creator and was hoping to be able to use this to place all of my templates up on my test forum. However, I soon ran into an issue with it. It is created to work with only one set of graphics. I have different menu buttons for each of my templates, but can only add the URLs to one set. Maybe in future releases, you could consider adding the option to allow various images for each menu link. I hope that makes sense. For example, one of my templates is named Zephyrion. It has it's own set of menu buttons. Another is named A Walk In The Park and it, too, has it's own set of menu buttons. However, if I want to use this plugin, I can only use one set of menu buttons, instead of being able to choose which URL links go with each template. I don't know if this would be possible to add to this plugin, but it would make it so totally awesome, imho. Just thought I'd make the suggestion. Thank you for all of your hard work. Without kind people like you, the rest of us would be lost!

Without kind people like you, the rest of us would be lost! It's pretty easy to do this kind of thing yourself if you know your way around the Layout Templates. This plugin is made for those who aren't as knowledgeable, so it's assumed that they're working off of the default layout. I should probably make note of that in the lead post. There's a workaround to achieve your suggestion. You can import multiple copies of this plugin and set them each to work on a individual theme using the edit button to the right of the plugin on the Manage page. You'll have to remember what order you set them in if you ever want to go in and edit them, though, or you'll be hitting that edit button a lot to see what skin they're on. I haven't had a lot of free time lately, so development of this plugin is currently on hiatus. I planned on remaking the whole thing somewhere down the line because I'm not sure how I can get the hover to work without using the original links. But yeah, it's a lot of work I don't have the time and energy for most of the time. Once I declare this plugin "finished" I plan on making it editable, so you'd be able to change the name of the plugin, among other things. And thanks. I'm here to help.

I had this working but then today it vanished/broke again. Site: [my V5 version]Not sure what is going on with it. (Ignore the side-bar on the right, the format on that is wrong and I am waiting for the author to fix the plugin to move the categories over appropriately.)

It looked fine to me when I looked at it over the weekend, but I see you've removed it now. What exactly was wrong with it? And what browser were you using?

I am using FF, some of the others are using either FF or Google Chrome and it isn't showing for them either. The code is turned back on and still not working. I did hear something about it not wanting to show up if you have the "Collapse Category" code also turned on or the "Ads above Forum Banner".
For now I shall leave it on.

I did hear something about it not wanting to show up if you have the "Collapse Category" code also turned on or the "Ads above Forum Banner". For now I shall leave it on. This is due to the $[header] being moved to the top in the Forum Wrapper of your Layout Templates. That area contains both the ads and the header/footer codes of your forum and of any plugin. The plugin needs the menu loaded on the page before it, and since the code comes first, the code breaks since there's no menu to change. Since several codes and plugins can be dependent on the position of your header, I suggest doing the following on each theme it's applicable to: Structure > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper:Remove $[header] from this part of the code: And place it here (or before the div, but this is the default): That should fix the plugin not working on any of the themes you moved the $[header] on. But now your ads are back to where they were, so we're going to fix that too. Download and install the Welcome Header Below Ad plugin on your forum. This will move your ad to the top for you and can be easily enabled and disabled on the plugins page, as well as be applied only on certain themes via the Edit button on the plugins page. The menu plugin should now work. Here's what it looked like for me with the buttons you specified (and any buttons without a URL disabled).

Yeah, that should be set now. Eventually I have to figure out how to rework the navigation again once certain scripts are turned into plugins so that I can move the buttons up there. Thank you very much for that. Is there a way to stop the navbar from spanning the page? In V4 someone made a script for me to remove the gradient area off the navbar so that it matched up cleanly with the banner width. V4 version: [Site]As you can see, the margins and gradient were all removed off the welcome table. I have to have the same thing done in V5 but I don't exactly know where/how to do that since the script no longer works. Again, thanks for this.

<div id="wrapper"> needs to come before the <header> in the Forum Wrapper. That's what controls your forum's width.
As for removing the gradient, go into Themes > Colors & Styles and select Header (Top) > Navigation Bar. Change the Background Color to transparent and click on the blank space in the top left of the window that pops up when you select Background Image.

Great, thanks so much. That fixed it exactly how I wanted.
I have this all bookmarked for later when we have to apply everything to our actual forums.
Thank you again.

If it could bring up a page of the most recent topics that would great If you go to Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation in your admin area you can add new buttons to your navigation menu. Just use the following URLs for your new buttons: Recent Posts URL: /posts/recentRecent Threads URL: /threads/recent
