If you go to Settings > Forum Settings > Navigation in your admin area you can add new buttons to your navigation menu. Just use the following URLs for your new buttons: Recent Posts URL: /posts/recentRecent Threads URL: /threads/recentNot to be dense, but does this add them to your classic style menu? You'll have to make new entries for them in the menu plugin as well, as there's no way for me to make that happen automatically. But for the most part, yeah, you'll be able to change any buttons you add to the forum's menu into images, including custom buttons.

What's the link to your BetaZone forum? I can check to see if anything's wrong.

Updated the plugin to 0.7.0, mostly to get the hover functionality working (finally ).

Looks like I'll be sticking to 0.6.3 myself. Installing 0.7.0 no longer offers me the option to not actually use the highlight.
I personally don't use the plugin to set up images, I use it up so I have a full welcome-table length menu with text, no highlight or nothing at all and no extra background to the set.
But I'm good with the version I have now, it does the work I need it to.

I took out that feature because you can just change that in the Header (Top) section of your Colors & Styles page (just use no background image and set the color to transparent for the Current Page Button). No sense in adding something that's already built into ProBoards. I kept 0.6.3 around in case something went horribly wrong with 0.7.0. Hover? I was just pondering this. Please tell me more. If your forum has a background image/color when hovering over the menu buttons normally, it'll inherit that. I couldn't do that last time because I replaced the contents of the menu completely and used some complicated mumbo jumbo to copy every original property the menu had. This version just replaces the text, which will also hopefully reduce load time compared to 0.6.3.

That would be something you'd have to add in yourself via your CSS and Layout Templates.

So these changes will make the graphics cleaner? I do notice that the buttons seem a bit fuzzy.

If your buttons are fuzzy, increase your menu height.
I recommend at least 2px above the height of your tallest button. So for the default buttons I provided, it would be 18px.
Edit: Plugin is now 0.7.1 to fix something I missed.

Yay, 1.0.0! Hopefully the last important update ever!
I finally got the plugin working in IE7, IE8, and Opera. Apparently the issue was with the regular expression that checks for name matches. Each browser formatted the empty space around the menu button name in the HTML differently.
If anyone can tell me if this works in Safari, that'd be fantastic.

Currently trying to modify my them gives me an error: variable @ ve_posts_code_text_color is undefined Yet I've made sure everything was filled in but it gave me that error a couple of days back when I checked in on my visual posting area background.. checking back later all was good so I'll poke at it again later today. Thanks for telling me about this.

Filling out entries for the rest of the buttons should remedy this. If you want your menu back to the normal text anyways, untick the checkbox next to the Classic ProBoards Menu plugin in Plugins > Manage.
