Er um hatty hattington !, thanks for the suggestion but long ago solved You might have noticed the link (from 20th November) is to a deleted test forum, we've been on V5 proper for a couple of months.

As proof of how much easier V5 is for customising your forum, the old Border Around Forum code can be neatly achieved with just a single line of CSS. To add this, go to Themes > Colors and Styles > Style Sheet (tab). Um... I go to Themes, but I don't have a Colors and Styles. I have a Colors and Theme Creator, but nowhere when I click that do I see a Style Sheet Tab.

THANK YOU! I had been fiddling with the border around the forum code all week because I hadn't looked at the CSS for the actual skin. Although, even if I did, I think I would have still been confused. LOL Here's what I got when I added borders and played with the radius! /* curved border around forum*/ #wrapper {background-color: @container_inner_border_color; width:1000px; padding: 7px; border-radius: 1em 20em 1em 1em;-moz-border-radius: 1em 20em 1em 1em;-webkit-border-radius: 1em 20em 1em 1em; border: 10px solid; } Love this!!!!!

Could someone please give me the code for using an image and one for using the title bar gradients? Thanks. You'll need to clarify what you mean by the image code (I'm pretty sure you said it in more detail before, but then you keep on deleting your own posts). As for using the title bar gradients, they're only 100px high so they'll look like crap if you try to tile them, although you could use CSS gradients if you wanted (IE9 and below need not apply).

Sorry, Shrike, I did delete a post. The exact one you quoted. I just wanted it as the last question here. So I reversed the last two posts making my question the last one on the page. I've created title bars for many of my 17 themes. I was wondering if there was a way to make the border match those created title bars. Or if the title bars are too wide, if I created a matching border image and could link to that? live-learn-luv.boards.net

Not quite what we like to see done here, actually, because it can cause a lot of confusion. No one's going to ignore your post, even if it's in the middle of a page. If you get no replies, it's because no one knows how to do what you are asking just yet.

They were one right after the other. I simply changed their position. Really, no different than editing.

I didn't reply to this at first because the theme you had earlier was nearly impossible to look at due to how many it had. Now, the default theme I'm looking at doesn't even have the border around forum any more, so I now have no idea what border you're referring to. If it is this light/dark brown border, that's not what the original border around forum code does so you'd need to ask in a new thread for help with that.

I have 17 themes. Our board is large and everyone has their own tastes so there are skins to appeal to everyone.
It's no longer necessary to reply. I didn't come here for a critique. Thank you for your kind response.

bleachedsoul.freemessageboards.com/Hey guys this code is wonderful, thank you for making it. I am wondering, is it possible to make the border stop just past the cbox, but before the bottom banner ad? If so would it also perhaps possible to insert an image at the bottom there?

Firstly, you should probably remove all those V4 codes. If you want to save them, copypasta into a .txt file or something, not put them on a forum where they won't work and just be liable to cause problems. As for moving things above/below the border, you need to place them inside/outside the "wrapper" div. Go to Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper and find this section near the bottom: $[footer] </div> {if $[is_mobile_browser]} <br /><p class="center">Switch to the $[mobile_switch_link].</p> {/if} </body> That closing </div> tag is the end of the wrapper. To move the bottom ad outside the border, move the $[footer] tag below it. This will also include your footers, so you'll probably need to move the chatbox code from there into the forum wrapper template.
