I've noticed recently that some people really hate this "Global Login" so I was thinking why not take the Microsoft approach? with windows 8 you can log into a hotmail account (global) or a local account with the local account offering less features.
So basically when people sign up they can choose from a Global Account or register and log into the forum directly with the "Global Login" having better features like this:
Global Login Accounts: -Avatar Maker -Badge Store -Notifications -All Local account features
Local Accounts: -Post, reply, etc.. -Like posts -etc..
I mean I won't be mad if this is rejected but I think it would make everyone who doesn't like the Global Login happy and wouldn't hurt to take into consideration.

It would be far too complex to recode and manage two separate login systems. Once people actually use the Global Accounts system they will figure out that its essentially exactly the same as v4 if they have only one account. And if they have multiple accounts it's easier than v4. I posted a video explaining the system to people, to alleviate any concerns. support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=openbetadiscussion&action=display&thread=430242The system isn't changing. It's really not that complex. For 99% of people the only change will be logging in with their email instead of their username. That will literally be the only difference to them.

I actually like the global login but others don't so thought I would suggest something that would make everyone happy instead of people getting mad then threatening to leave. Thanks for the consideration though ;D

No problem. As I explained, it's far too late in development to change how that works. They are just scared of change. Once they start using it they'll find its exactly the same as it is now.
