Video Plug-In Request (Updated!)

There's already a [ video ] tag which supports embedding videos from a number of sources.  Unfortunately, the site you're wanting to embed one from isn't supported (tested).  This means you probably either need to request support for the site from PB or find the video(s) you wish to embed on another, supported site (youtube is one).

Adding support through a plugin is likely possible as well, should someone want to tackle it, but I feel that getting support from PB for the site would probably be the best way to go about this.

Hello M³...

If it is videos you want to show, why don't you create a 'Custom Pages':

Admin > Structure > Custom Pages > Create New Custom Page

As an example:

I took your video and placed it within the html:

More than glad to give the walk through. Only the admin can post such videos.

Hmmm, well, I was hoping that others would be able to post .. it's not like they post as many as I do, but every now and a while ... being able to embed such a code by others to show videos, is as welcomed. I do know how to create a page, and while I'm only guessing, am I placing this code in the HTML box? ... just a guess .. but, am ready to be taught.

Just place that code in the custom page. When you first create a custom page first one, it will start with a $[zone_1]. Prior to inserting this code, remove that zone, because you already have it (in code).

you can locate that plug-in over at IOD but will have to register to see it and no doubt, Pebble and others like Speed and RAD will be more than glad to get this plug-in up and running for you, if you decide you want to go this route.

Got it! ... Ok cool, well, at least I know I have some sort of work around. arek above, stated that I might want to request support for the site? ... I figured having posted this over the last few weeks was good enough. What do you think? Should I repost ... and if so, which board?

Is this a difficult request? I'm not sure tbh, and really .. I've only had one person try and it was using a page .. vs what I'd really like and that's in the form of a plugin .. or, H&F .. as long as we can embed the code to show the vid. Eton Bones' code allowed this in v4.5 and it was the absolute best code .. hands down! With v5 being so deep and enriched with features, I'm surprised this hasn't been filled yet ... or, i'm guessing it's too difficult to achieve. Either way, I'm still hopeful that someone can do this.
