[Plugin] Google Web Fonts

Bennett 🚀, err does this plugin work in Internet Explorer? I've never thought to look before today, but I'm working on theme for someone and for me at least in IE the webfonts aren't showing in the category titles or container areas either. delusional.freeforums.net thanks to anyone who replies.

It was loading fine for me with IE10, but that's just because I'm unable to use an earlier version.

It's probably just easier to link them all in your global template

Ok, I added the plugin just fine.

then i went to the google/fonts link and picked a few fonts i liked, such as Cardo

in the plugin i added Cardo to the Name and I added 400 to the weight.

but the font does not show up in the Post Reply fonts dropdown. Nor does it show up if i call it by name in the Font html tag in a post.

am i missing something?

This plugin doesn't add any of the fonts you choose to any of the places you're thinking. It just puts it there so you can use the font-family CSS property in any of the style attributes of the tags

This plugin uses google.com/webfonts

The plugin is to be used as a super simple webfont management area. Fonts in the auto-form will appear on the forum without you having to add the code to the headers/footers; if you know the name of the font, you can just stick it in and it will do the rest for you.

Don't understand what this is used for? Don't use it then. This just manages fonts you can use in your template editing to keep things organized and in one spot. This in no way, shape, or form will it add anything to any drop-downs for fonts, you would just need to use the default Proboard div tag with the CSS style of: font-family: 'Font Name';

For example.

Make sure to include any italic, bold, or other styles after the font numbers.
e.g.
400italic

I tried to get the code right from google fonts...

I added the bbcode button plug in for my quick reply box and I was wondering what I needed to do to add the extra fonts there? Should I just add the code in the quick reply page?

Bennett 🚀 So there is no way to use fonts that are not listed on Google Fonts? i want to use Bank Gothic for the heading sections on my forum.

Not with this plugin, no. There are other ways, such as embedding them yourself as web fonts. There are lots of web font generators out there that will do that for you, just google it
