Hi, Todge, after we sorted out the previous bug ( the double colon thing), the plugin has worked perfectly until last week, when I suddenly noticed that some of the gifs in the dropdown meny stopped moving. So I decided to wait a few days, in case it was just a temporary issue, but alas... Any idea about what may have caused it and how we can fix it? Tnanks in advance! Tix Mascot

If animated gifs stop animating, that will be down to your PC/browser. Some browsers will not display the animation if it is busy doing some other task, like loading data etc, if the animation is missing from only some of your gifs that could be because the image has not loaded properly, try refreshing the page, or even a hard refresh.
Either way, it will probably be an issue with the device rather than the plugin.

Todge, thanks for the clarification! I will see what I can do with it in due course. At least, it's good to know that nothing is wrong with the plugin.

It turned out that the links to one site had become broken, so after I removed them, all the others work fine. Now, we just have to find other gifs to replace them with... You saved the day for us again, Todge!

No worries..
If you can, it would always be best to host your own images, that way you have full control of your smileys and they will stop disappearing..

Good advise - I'll consider it if something like this happens again. One question, though: If links to the original gif site is being broken, will the links to my own storage area still function? I don't know exactly how such things work.

The main reason to host your own smileys is for 'image security', you have control of what images are stored, if you hotlink to other sites you have no say on what that site does, they can change the filenames or change the locations of the images, both of which would stop your smileys from being displayed, they can even delete them, and you'd have no say in it. Another advantage of hosting your own images is that you can name them yourself, so, for this image.. You could have the code ::peacock:: instead of ::200w:: for example.
