On the boards, staff can lock threads so members can't reply, but in a staff only board a lock is pointless, except as an icon What about an admin lock ? Something like a staff rules thread for instance where the admin staff don't want mods editing, sure you can see which staff has edited, but what have they edited Same goes for out in the boards.
This would be in member group options so admin can decide which group has an admin lock (which could be coloured red) Anyone with an admin lock would also have the normal lock

I think that the whole point of not having a staff lock is that you should trust your staff. You pointed out seeing that it was edited. If your staff are editing things against your wishes that sounds more like a management issues then a feature issue. Even if the argument was you didn't want additional posts in the thread, so the lock would prevent that. You could still teach your mods not to post in locked threads if that's your rule. The biggest issue is it's one more option to confuse people. "Lock... what level? Oh admin level?" Where does it end? Can I lock against specific groups? Why not? Lock is pretty simple now and straight forward now. Even adding 1 option is suddenly a lot more going on than we currently have. I can add this to our list of potential v5.x features, though I don't think it's going to get a lot of support. Just being honest. But hey its possible. Or maybe it will spawn a similar feature. Who knows?
