I know, Brian, and it is. Your admin area says otherwise.

I'm WAAAAYY back at the very beginning of this process...
I downloaded it, but can't figure out where to go to use it? I've looked under colors and themes and...
Ugh. I'm not very computer savvy. Will you please let me know where to go to activate it?
Thank you!
Cole.

The same place you installed it, colelifestorm. The plugins section. Plugins > Manage > Multicolored Categories

My category title bars have changed to the colors I indicated, but not for any other members. What could I be doing wrong? Most of my categories are hidden from non-members, so I dont think you will be able to see what the issue is because the "public" area of the forum is the default colors. oregonpcpnews.freeforums.net/ Thanks for helping.

I can see them when logged into the admin account and when logged into the magnacarta (Test Account) account on that forum. Are there any specific members that don't see it? I checked your plugin settings and everything is set up correctly.

Is there somewhere a way how to change those? Other plugin or something? You could always add CSS to your Main Header to change their colors. An example: Is there a way to keep the shoutbox the default color instead of it taking on the color of the category you may be looking at? thanks!

Brian, I love your plugin, thanks for developing it. As I mentioned earlier, most of my site is hidden from non-members. Right now the problem they are dealing with, is knowing when they are on a "private" area where members can see the posts, or if they go into the "public" area where anyone can see what is posted. The default color for things like PMs don't change (I know, those are not categories), making some of the members think those are public. I have been getting several requests to help distinguish for them the two 'zones' by having the public area one color and the private area a different color. Is there another plugin that you know of which could do this? Or tweaks to your plugin which could be made? Please advise, I am not a coder at all!!! Thanks

Is this supposed to only work in the home page or am I missing something? cause when I go to a board the title bar is the same as the rest.

Is there a way to keep the shoutbox the default color instead of it taking on the color of the category you may be looking at? thanks! You'd need to edit your theme's style sheet to tell the shoutbox title bar to always use the default title bar background. Add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet on the theme you want it done on. As for the private/public area question, so long as the public boards are in one category and the private boards are in another category you can use this plugin to color each of those categories a different color. Is this supposed to only work in the home page or am I missing something? cause when I go to a board the title bar is the same as the rest. It should work inside boards if you have the inherit option turned on in the plugin settings. Note that your category's name and display name must also be the same in Structure > Categories & Boards.

Hello Brian - I just made the other title bars have a background with the fixed position and now it is affecting the multicoloured categories too: link Is there anyway to make the images in the category title bars scroll with the page but have the other title bars fixed? Thanks -Isle
