Thanks for the great plugin Brian . I have a request/question though: Is there a way to see the different category colors when you are looking at the New Posts section? Our users would particularly love it if we could color the folders to match the category colors: ie, all Category1 is colored purple with your plug-in, and all posts inside Category1 show up with a purple folder. That way, when you were looking at the New Posts page, you could immediately see which posts were in Category1. Thanks for any help! That would require a layout template modification. The plugin has no concept of which category individual threads are contained in as the page doesn't provide that information by default. Is there somewhere I can look for help with that? I thought a plug-in might do it and your plugin was the closest I had found. If it requires actual coding on my part, then I know that is above my skillset.

Brian, where do I set the "New Post" colour or text colour so its not the same colour as the one for a Category colour?
I've tried Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS click on Body (Content) > New Icons and changed Background Colour, Border Colour, and Text colour to all the same colour but the colour of New Posts text in the Category remains the same colour as set by your plugin.

What New Posts text are you referring to? As far as I've known it's always been indicated by the icon of the board, not text.

I'm using Collapsible Categories and its that plug which has the text colour. Sheesh.

bptest-site.freeforums.netI have the current version on as far as I can see, but it isn't making any change in my category bar! The link included is for TEST forum, and the top category is named "THe Gathering". Right now it's just set to a randomly chosen color but it isn't changing. It sure doesn't look like there are too many ways to go wrong, but I'm getting no luck. What's going wrong?

There appears to be a space before the name in your plugin settings which is causing it not to match the category name.

...a space before the name? Well THAT's pretty silly, huh? That fixed it. Thanks.

Plugins can't edit the admin area in any way. Their code only runs on the forum itself.

Can you clarify how it would utilize the admin area? Are you asking if the plugin can make it so that when you're viewing a board within a certain category the forum automatically switches to a different theme? If so that's not possible for a plugin to achieve.

You would have to design the theme itself to work that way using a combination of template variables and CSS.
