[Request] Spell Checker

I can't believe V5 has no spell check. I think if someone added it as a plug-in, it would be very popular.

Browsers these days already have a spell checker natively. If you spell something wrong it will be underlined in red. You can also right click on the word and choose from a list of words to replace it with.

Even the spell checker in Firefox is pretty bad. I guess I can type messages in Microsoft word, and paste them into V5. But that is a hassle.

I don't recall the built-in spell checker PB uses being that great either so it's par for the course (at least from my perspective)

I think you'll find the browsers spell check much quicker than the v4 spell check
Correcting words as you type having the browser spell check turned on
On your browsers spell checker you have a lot more options than the pb spell checker

I haven't had a problem with the Firefox spell-checker, but perhaps you use a more specialized vocabulary than I do. Sometimes I have to add words to it, but once I do, it does fine.

By the way, FOC, ieSpell, the IE addon I told you about in your other spell-checker thread, scans your Microsoft dictionary to grab the words you've already added to it in Word. Might suit you just fine for IE, if you can't upgrade to IE 9 with the browser dictionary.

This. I tried it a few times, and found it incredibly annoying. If nothing else, (as far as I remember) it picked up on spelling mistakes in usernames, ubbc/coding, and anything else that came up in a post. 'Timestamp' for example is not a recognised word in Chrome (and thus would get its own little notification in the integrated checker), and would thus come up EVERY TIME you quoted someone. More than once for multiple quotes in a post.

And from what I remember, you had to cycle through every single spelling mistake too, which would take far too long for my liking.
