Even the spell checker in Firefox is pretty bad. I guess I can type messages in Microsoft word, and paste them into V5. But that is a hassle. I think Firefox spell checker is pretty good actually. The PB spell checker couldn't spell correctly..... well not in English anyway!

Correcting words as you type having the browser spell check turned on The Firefox one does not do this. Like what? I don't think the Firefox one has any options. You just right mouse click a red underlined word and click the right spelling.

What do wnat want? The browser spell checkers all work and do their job! Most come pre installed on the browsers as I have already said that is except IE But you can get FREE one from www.speckie.com for internet explorer having the spell checker on proboards was using more resources And as most browsers now have the spell checker pre installed This why it was removed - Thus helping v5 The pb spell checker was USA thus correcting spellings in USA language color This for me being from the UK was a little frustrating colour = UK This is why I like the browsers spell check as you can select the language Steve

Must say that when I first added spell check to Firefox it didn't work correctly..... because I hadn't added a dictionary! For me Firefox is much better than the V4 spell checker because no matter where I type it checks my spellings as I go rather than having to complete a post then sit and wait for the PB spell checker to do it's job. PB spell checker was/is American English....so many words are spelt incorrectly.

I can pretty much say a builtin spell checker wont be added for reason mentioned above (browsers have it built-in or added in tools, resource heaviness on PB coding and loading time). It might be doable with a plugin, but then it takes up a plugin spot, and if you want a custom dictionary you deal with maybe having to use a key to store the words.
