Custom pages problem

I created a custom page, but its not showing up in the tabs. Does it HAVE too be a homepage?

For adding to menu, in navigation you add the custom page like /page/CUSTOM
But you can also create a board, and in thee settings of that board make it go to a link like this
safetynet.freemessageboards.com/forum notice the affiliates board with an arrow

Which method are you trying, what are you doing, and what is happening ?

I dont want to seem like a complete idiot. But i cant seem to figure out where to put the /page/CUSTOM???

If you want a button in the menu bar, Forum Settings > navigation tab, you can create a new button there, you will see where yo put that link when you create a button and compare with the others

If you want it as a board (like the affiliates board on my test site) Create new board, settings, redirect url (should be the full url including the /page/CUSTOM

'CUSTOM' is the name that you give the custom page

ok Now I get to sound like a idiot. I created a custom page for my staff chat, I created a menu button. I do not understand how to put the page into the button it seems to default onto my custom made portal page instead.


Nevermind I figured it out.

The destination for the chat page would be /page/chat. The /chat portion may be different depending on what you called the page.
