Unfortunately it's not possible to do in CSS that would be cross browser. CSS 3 can do it, but outside of Webkit, it's not easy to pull off.

I don't think any plugin exists that does each letter, so I would request something. I thought there was a colour smear type plugin, was that not good enough?

Live tried almost every single shadow code I could think of but can't seem to get it to work.

I have this plug-in set for everyone to view, but when I log-off, the names all go to the default text and the color doesn't show.

Please advise as to how to fix this.

Hi I have a issue, it's not working at all on my computing forum, I chose to bold my name and have a purple colour but it just refueses to change. I must be doing something wrong coz I had this working on my old Pokemon forum. Hmm, any ideas?

Make sure you don't have the plugin enabled (permissions) for specific themes.

I tried both ways. Right now, all the boxes are checked for all themes and for everyone to view. 

When I log off, the color goes gray. Maybe it has something to do with the theme setting?

I've got a problem with adding new members to this plugin. I've currently got 20+ members plus 5 staff and all was going well with this plugin.

I've had 4 new members of late and when I try to add their 'user' names (as I have in the past) their names 'cannot be found'.

I've got the latest version of both Styled Member Names and the Yootil Library (which is at the top of the plugin list). I have even uninstalled (complete), and then reinstalled them, to no avail. These 4 new user names cannot be found. I can't figure out why.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Update Yootil Library to 0.9.6, worked for me
