Bold the name of the sub-board if new posts exist in it.

Nice idea, but what if the reply was in sub sub sub sub sub sub sub  boards,  i find it easier to use the nav tree dropdowns, as in the example here safetynet2.freemessageboards.com/forum
use the nav tree dropdowns for the general board

You can leave this as a feature request if you want, but it would be possible with a template mod. Posted it here.

What about being able to select which boards have this feature via profile option?

This isn't a feature request as much as a mod you can do yourself. Features are things that would be applied to every board everywhere. This is very cosmetic and less functional. i think that there are large audiences that would like this, but also many that wouldn't. As such i think we'll let it remain a mod for now.
