[Plugin] Board Description Images 1.0.1

You say it shows all your categories? Is it not showing the boards (and sub-boards etc) for each one as well? You want to click on a board name and it should then close the box and show it as the name selected. If that isn't working then, yes, it might be a bug and you'll want to Report it.

I didn't make that very clear. Yes!  I clicked on Add board.  The box appeared. I selected the board I wanted and clicked on it. Nothing happened. The box stays there, and nothing else happens.

Shrike, is it possible to do the same for Categories, so that clicking on a Category image opens the forums under that category and displays those images as well?

Making this work on categories would involve a lot of reworking. Have you tried the Collapsible Categories plugins? Although I haven't tested it myself, I see no reason why it wouldn't work with my plugin too.

I'm very pleased with your plugin, Shrike, and have been playing around with various plugins - including Collapsible Categories - and template mods like the Tabbed Categories mod which I've combined with yours. I'll take up your suggestion and create another beta template to play around with Collapsible Categories and your plugin.

I've not made it publicly editable so it won't show up in Build and can only be exported by me.

If you need to use it on another forum, just upload the file you saved to your computer/re-download it from above. If you want to share it with other people, just send them a link to this thread. Bear in mind that this should be simpler when the plugin directory is live.

I was hoping there might be a way to export it so I wouldn't have to manually input all the data again when the V5 goes live. Just being lazy.

Shrike, what code would I change to move the Legend folders on the left side of the Description Image to beside the board name? (Move the Legend icons over one column to the right.)

The reason I ask is the New icon doesn't grab your attention where it is now, the Description Image overpowers it, but would catch members attention better if beside the text of the board name.

Could you post a link to your forum? I'm not sure what you mean by moving the Legend icons, the description images shouldn't be able to get down there. If you mean the new/old post icons then that shouldn't be too difficult to do (just making some changes to one of the layout templates), but a link to see it would be helpful all the same.

Thanks for the link, I think it'll be easiest if we just swap the description and post icon columns around. You'll need to go to Themes > Layout templates > Board > Board list (tab).

First thing is to swap the header cells around. Find this section and move the red line so it is BELOW the blue one.

Thanks, Shrike. That will make it easier for my members to see new items have been posted. If you feel it is worthwhile and you have the time, when you update your plugin again could you move the icon beside the text description so new posts are even more noticeable? I know it's a bit fussy on my part, but you never met my mom.

While it is a good suggestion, it'd be way too complicated to change them using Javascript (what the code would have to do) compared to the simple template modification that can be made. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Sorry to bother you with this, but I'm using this plugin to workaround the redirection issue (I don't actually have any board descriptions). However, when this has been used, it aligns the board image to the left. Is there any way of getting the image to align in the centre?

If it's helpful, this is occurring on the redirect override, i.e. the image links to a board which is a redirect, so it replaces the 'board description' in the redirect. I can do screenshots if that helps.
