I'd like to be able to see which thread members are viewing, not just which board. Someone said it might be a violation of privacy, but I don't think it is. And I've seen this feature at other sites. It would help me to know which discussions are attracting the most attention/interest. (I have a lot of members who read but don't post much, so you can't always tell by the number of replies or views.)

In forum settings, look for info centers, there's a specific board online list, that displays the amount of users looking at the board when it's turned on, that is fine to do It may have been me that mentioned elsewhere that knowing which members are viewing a board may be an invasion of privacy.

We currently already show you which members are in a board. We also show the number of views a thread is getting to help you know which discussions are attracting the most attention/interest. In the past we have found that members consider knowing the specific thread they are in all the time is an invasion of privacy. After a lot of testing we found that the privacy line falls where it currently sits. You can know who's in what board. And you can know how many views a thread is receiving to help you determine its popularity. But telling you at all times where a member is crosses that line. Adding a way to see who is viewing each thread would be that equivalent. It would be the same data someone could view if we added a field in everyone's profile that said what page they were currently viewing. It just wouldn't be as easy to access is the only difference. We wont be adding a way to display specifically where all members all the time are. That data could be used maliciously. Sorry, but thank you for the suggestion.

Understood. Thank you both for the reply and explanation.
