Forced Maintenance?

This was thought process I was going through when hearing about the Abuse Department giving you time to clean up your forum what if instead of giving you a time limit they do a Forced Maintenance instead?

This way you can still get a break from complaints but it also leaves the site untouchable by non-staff members until the problem is solved and you can unlock it.


I think it could be a smart solution to handle certain cases regarding Posts/Threads that are out of bounds on the PB ToS
what do you think?

My initial thoughts is that it may be a good idea, but then what if the admin made every member staff, even without actual powers, they would be able to continue abusing TOS behind closed doors,
This may work if MM only allowed main admin and abuse dept access, and you'd have to contact the abuse dept to get it unlocked once the problems have been addressed.

yea that was my thought process as well

however you did hit the nail on the head "in green?" with the main admin account this way only him/her can fully access it along with the abuse department thus ending certain squabbles

We are currently happy with the way we currently handle abuse and TOS reports. We already have a very detailed system for dealing with things. Thank you for the suggestion though.
