Perhaps I don't know how to install it correctly! I asked me if I wanted to import settings from an existing instance, to which I said yes. Gallery key first, then gallery, right?
EDIT: OK, I didn't realize I still needed to specify the board; I assumed it would be part of the inherited settings. Now I just need to find the beta version again!
EDIT: all is well, after that DOH! moment.

...and now a new request! There was a little grousing on the part of one user that felt that the Comment button should be renamed Add Comment, and the Add Comment button should be renamed something like OK. They were having trouble because the names didn't make clear the sequence. I understand how they got confused, but not a big deal if you think the user-if shouldn't change. The more important issue is that several members have gotten confused because the Comment button is at the top, but the comment box appears below the image, which in many cases means it is off-screen. Having them display in close proximity would be helpful; what do you think? Almost the same picture here about add Add Image button from a member on the forum who use old version Android on his mobile. One more think. How to add multiple images on the same post? And - can it be rewritten that multiple images be in a row of small pictures when on mouse over give (as pop up?) the full size image? Thank you

Thank you The quick reply box was removed because for the plugin to work the posts need to have a set syntax, that could not be controlled by the QR. Also, originally the plugin only let the gallery owner add images, the comments option and the ability for others to add images to a gallery have been added. You can post more images in the same post by adding them to the 'Comments' section in the posting area, just use UBBC format to add as many images as you like. I mentioned earlier that this plugin is overdue for a revamp, and displaying images side by side instead of one under another is one of the options I want to include. You will be limited by the amount of posts per page though, so, for instance, if your forum is set to have 10 posts per page within a thread, then you can only have 10 images per page in the gallery.

Quick question Todge, In the Member Gallery plugin > Extra Settings tab > Input Fields; is it possible to have the field more than a single line height? The Comments line, for example, looks to be "3 lines tall", so to speak. If not, no worries. Thanks!

The Comments line, for example, looks to be "3 lines tall", so to speak. If not, no worries. Thanks! I can make the code use textarea easily enough, but the problem comes when you edit an entry. The plugin could have issues trying to separate entries and displaying them correctly in the posting field. I will try to update the code to take that into consideration, but it could be tricky.

Okay. As I said, no worries. I was simply curious. Thanks for the reply!

That can only be fixed by changing the Simple Image Upload plugin code to target the URL field rather than the comments field, so there's little I can do. Sorry. Thanks Todge. I thought that would be the case. i tried this, and it's still not working for my members.

Why are my members being logged off, after clicking into one of our image galleries? I have no idea. There's nothing in the code that should that could do that, that I'm aware of.. Is this happening for only one gallery? Or for all your galleries?

The gallery was working great up till just the other day when I started getting all these messages from them.

Are they all using the same browser, are they all in the same group etc.. Also, are they being logged off when they enter the gallery or while they navigate within it etc.?
