I was wondering if the color of the border is taken from a setting in the gallery plugin, so that changing it might make it visable.

Very strange.. I checked the date on the file and it all seems to tally up, but I have uploaded it again, so can you please try to download the plugin again. Thanks Todge. This one installed as v3.1.1. I made comments on 2 gallery posts (no error popup), then logged in under the owner name and saw the notification bubble with a 2. When I clicked it and the name in the list, I was taken to the page with the image. However, I still do not see any highlighting. what could be causing that? The only thing that I can think of is that your browser is not allowing web storage, and so does not know which gallery entry to highlight.. Do you know whether web storage has been turned off in your browser?

LOL! I have no idea what that means, so no, I don't know if it is turned off. However, in Firefox under Cookies and Site Data the radio button for Accept cookies and site data is active (as opposed to Block cookies and site data), so perhaps it is turned on.
Could an ad blocker get in the way?

Nuts. I disabled the ad blocker and all content blocking (trackers and 3rd party cookies) with apparently no change in the gallery behavior.

One (hopefully) last question: what triggers the removal of the highlight border.

One (hopefully) last question: what triggers the removal of the highlight border. The browser 'remembers' the gallery entry using 'sessionStorage', which is automatically forgotten as soon as you navigate away from the page.

Hey there Todge Awesome plugin!! Could you please explain exactly how to install the key to allow comments? I'm not good at this, haha. Thanks in advance!! Welcome to PB @syrk. To install the key to allow comments, you will first need to download it.. You can find a link to the key in the first post of this thread.. Just make sure you know where you download it to. Then, while in you Admin Panel, click on Plugins then Manage and find the 'Import Plugin' button.. Clicking that should open a pop-up giving you the option to 'Choose Plugin File', click that and find the 'Member Gallery Comments Key' file that you downloaded, select it and 'Open'.. You should get a message saying that the plugin has been installed successfully, click 'Finished' and you're done.. Once the new plugin is activated the Member Galleries Plugin should automatically add the comments feature without you needing to do anything.

You will need to create a board to be used for your galleries and assign that board to the plugin. Moderators can edit the comments or delete the image, but they can not edit the images. I get this part but what is the mechanism for uploading photos? Is it the 'add attachment' feature? Hi Tommy , Unfortunately there is no mechanism for uploading images within this plugin. Images will need to be hosted on a third party site, such as Imgur, Flickr or TinyPic, or whichever your members prefer, they then simply add the URLs of their uploaded images for them to be displayed in the gallery.

Hey Todge I have an idea. Would it be possible to get an input section added to the plugin where we could add our own content to the "add image" page? I ask because I have section for some popup image uploaders coded into my board for both the reply and quick reply, as you can see in a guest-friendly thread here. I'd love to be able to add that section to the member gallery "add image" posting section in exactly the same place, and I'm sure other forums that have links to image hosting sites in their reply areas would like to be able to add them to the Member Galleries posting area as well. Just an idea.

Just an idea. Try this version (3.1.2).... Your uploaders cell should be added automatically.
