Hi,
I think it would be a nice addition, to make it an option in the Visual Editor rather than a code like in V4 Is it possible?
Thanks

You can edit the background in a number of ways (including color) already in both the Easy Theme Creator and the Colors & Styles area.
Border opacity is a much less used option. However you can still edit it in the Style Sheet area of Color's and Styles.
You don't need to use a header and footer code to edit these things like this in v5. For something like border opacity you will need to use CSS in the editor, but that's because it is an advanced property. Everything else is already easy to do and existing.

Opacity for both border and background element, sorry if my title was misleading.
I found it an interesting property, it brings depth and space which are important for the readability of a forum. Also it allows more choices in a different style, which is beneficial when speaking of forum customization.
Of course we can already do that, I myself went editing the CSS sheet like you said, and I agree, it's an advanced property. What I requested was to bring this in the Visual Editor for beginners, because I really think that it deserves that we facilitates its use.
So it may be true that it is a less used option, but perhaps that was because it wasn't something easy to do? =)
