pawl hello again i have added this to delusional.freeforums.net but as you can see HERE the default proboards avatar is also loading with the gif avatar i selected for guests. Did I skip a part of your instructions, or is this supposed to happen? thank you in advance.

Did I skip a part of your instructions, or is this supposed to happen? thank you in advance. Could you confirm that you included the orange section of the first post? That should stop avatars from showing when the poster isn't logged in.

Hi pawl, I'm getting some odd results using this template mod. The results work perfectly when viewing posts made by a member who posted and whose account was deleted before the upgrade. klauscarolinefans.boards.net/post/11473But for another deleted individual (who created an account on the forum after V5 was rolled out and was deleted the other day) it doesn't work: klauscarolinefans.boards.net/post/20399Is there any way of resolving this by modifying the template so all deleted members can be affected by the desired changes or could this be a bug?

pawl - would you do me a huge favour please, could you tidy up this thread so it's easier for anyone else wishing to use the modification to follow? Thanks

@ritab if I don't get round to it tonight, I'll tidy up tomorrow afternoon. Finally got back home after going to work yesterday morning, and haven't slept more than three hours a night since Friday, so I'm a little slow at the moment. =P Glass Owl the same pretty much applies to your problem. I'll have a little play, see if I can replicate the problem, and see if there's a solution. =]

Glass OwlCould you give this a go for me, see if it works? It's to replace the section that had the purple highlights in my first post. <div class="$[miniprofile_class]"> {if !$[user.is_member]} <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="color: #FF0000;">$[user]</span><br />Guest</span><br /><div class="avatar"><img src="AVATAR-URL" alt="$[user.name]'s Avatar" /></div> {elseif $[user.is_deleted]} <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="color: #FF0000;">$[user]</span><br />Guest</span><br /><div class="avatar"><img src="AVATAR-URL" alt="$[user.name]'s Avatar" /></div> {else}$[user]<br /> {/if} {if $[user.group]}

Thank you for this! Works 100%, but will not use it. I kinda like the default set up.

Here's a thread for guests to view so you can see what's happening. and here's my mini profile template. <div class="$[miniprofile_class]"> {if !$[user.is_member]} <span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="color: #dedede;">$[user]</span><br />Guest</span><br /><div class="avatar"><img src="http://i1052./s445/welshling/twd%20avatars/guestwalker.jpg" alt="$[user.name]'s Avatar" /></div> {else}$[user]<br /> {/if} {if $[user.group]} $[user.group.name]<br />$[user.group.stars]<br /> {elseif $[user.rank]} $[user.rank.name]<br /> {if $[user.rank.stars]} $[user.rank.stars]<br /> {/if} {/if} {if $[user.custom_title]}$[user.custom_title]<br />{/if} $[user.warning.bar] <br /> {if $[user.avatar]} <div class="avatar">$[user.avatar]</div><br /> {/if} {if $[user.personal_text.message]} $[user.personal_text]<br /> {/if} {if $[user.is_member]}{if $[user.avatar]} <div class="avatar">$[user.avatar]</div><br /> {/if}{/if} <div class="info"> Posts: $[user.posts]{if $[user.gender]}<span class="float-right">$[user.gender.image]</span>{/if} {foreach $[user.mini_custom_field]} <br /><span class="$[user.mini_custom_field.content_class]">$[user.mini_custom_field.name]: $[user.mini_custom_field.value]</span> {/foreach} {if $[user.is_online]}<br /><span class="italic">Member is Online</span>{/if} </div><br /> {/if} {if $[user.badges_miniprofile]} <div class="$[user.badges_miniprofile_container_class]"> {foreach $[user.badges_miniprofile]} $[user.badges_miniprofile.icon] {/foreach} </div> {/if} </div> EDIT: Nevermind lol i fixed it.
