It happened immediately after I unticked the old version and enabled the new. I went to the home page, and the nav bar was doubled in width. I went to the Discussion Board ~ same thing. As soon as I unticked the new version and went back to the old ~ all was fine.

see if that clears up your error. I redid some math and had it not smear in the navbar after the first find

I'm sorry to put you through this trouble, Wormopolis. I presume this version must be approved, too. As it's still v1.4.3 in the library.

I just realized I'm using an old version. I saw how many updates you've had and mine's not even in there. I'm currently using v1.3.0 which isn't even listed in your dropdown. The closest to it is v1.3.1.

So I decided to try the latest version prior to this new release ~ v1.4.2. And that affects my nav bar, too.

Put in the one I just submitted when it is accepted. Then let me know it is in there so I can see it as it's messing up. It's not messed up for me in any browser on my site, but you might have something different. Especially if you have weird characters in a board title

I do have several ~ tildes in my category titles. Which I'm not opposed to deleting if they're the cause. But I don't color smear those. And my board titles do have images in them. 

I'll wait until it's approved and I'll wait until a night when I see you're here because I don't want to leave it on too long with the enlarged nav bar.

The images MIGHT be the issue since its supposed to strip out any html it finds and then put it back, but it might be putting it back wrong. a working example will be easier to trouble shoot. is it letting you have different versions loaded?

Yes, it allowed me to load the last version before your new update and your update.  1.4.2. and 1.4.3. It imports my data perfectly ~ which is great since I use your smear on ALL of my themes for the board titles. So it affects every theme because I do.

We'll work together in real time. Just not right now. I decided to help someone making an animal keeper game and was working on an image I thought he could use. It's 1:30 am here and I'm crashing early (yup, this is early for me!).

If worse comes to worse, I'll keep the older version which is working fine. It really is an integral part of my board. I'd hate to go back to single color titles. Boring! I'm spoiled.

are you using a plugin for images in board titles or just putting bbc in the title itself?

could you make the default theme the same one in the image here so I can look at the actual theme.  the one Im seeing has the board name in a bar below the navbar.  unless you mean it was in THAT bar the name was getting messed up?

There ya go, Wormo. Summer Sand is default. You'll see the Nav Bar as it should look ~ and you can compare it to what it looked like once the new version was put in place.

So its just the "Slots" part that is getting affected right? its not each actual board name but rather "slots" is being affected in all the menus because slots is a smeared board title right?

and for clarification, I consider that area the "menu" bar (where menu items are) and the area below it showing the path to the current area the "nav" bar. Im probably wrong, but that was part of my confusion.

Yes. Slots is remaining where it should. All the non-smeared names for some reason are up higher and therefore making the Nav Bar (or whatever you call it) double in height.

Actually... its moving the slots down because for some reason, the html coming back from that menu item has a line feed above and below it for some weird reason, so the engine is converting them into <br> tags... Im trying to get the engine to ignore them or convert them back...
